It’s getting really bad up there. I was 20 miles out last weekend, and there was water around a lot of houses and on some areas of roads. I’ve heard new breakers and cracks opened and you’re not getting off a road with a wheel house unless someone plows you a spot. It’s really going to get bad when it gets above freezing; the banks are high around roads, and that water won’t have anywhere to go.

But maybe it’s not so bad closer to shore and in different areas of the lake

I do the same, but with a commander and a gold digger. I like the gold digger but love the commander so much that I’ll put the most productive spoon on it if rattle baits aren’t working. I’m thinking about selling the jt to get a precision; I’m getting a little tired of the jt guys bashing anything that isn’t jt

I saw a house about that size with a tractor next to it on LotW

Cabelas Saskatchewan boots are incredibly warm and my feet don’t get wet from sweating. They’re waterproof too and I’ve never needed to wear wool socks. They really suck to walk in though. Especially through deeper snow while carrying or pulling something heavy

I love my commander. I’ve caught 5” sauger with it and horsed 27” walleye out of 30’ of water in less than a couple minutes. Works great with 3/16 spoons to 1/2 oz rattle baits (and probably heavier). I don’t think it will be the best finesse rod though, and late February could be a tough bite on LotW

Jackall tn60 in holo gill or threadfin shad for sure. Fish are starting to get a bit lethargic, but they still get fish in the area. I’ve caught everything the southern end of lake of the woods has except sturgeon on them
