Ive been in that same situation in the past on the Wi property…except I had my camers taken..the person that took it THOUGHT it was on his property…after a lot of B.S. I got the camera back and made him well aware of proper property lines….Anyway I understand why u did what u did but I would have left the note AND the camera…Now a days it seems people get evil and I think u might have opened your cameras up for damage or theft even though he was trespassing. After giving him a chance to read the note…then take it if he does not remove it…good luck..Jay
December 27, 2012 at 1:04 am #128370I bought the cultivator last year and workd great on already tilled ground (it turned over an existing clover plot). I did try it on sod that had about 4 inches of grass and I was surprised how well it tore it up. I used it on a new 24 hp diesel tractor I bought. That being said I agree a tiller is the way to go and I will be purchasing one this spring. I never tried the potato plow but would imagine it would work well but would take a long time to do a plot…good luck.
November 26, 2012 at 8:25 pm #127390Do you have anything mounted on the front slide…(light) etc….because that weight makes a major difference in the gen 3 and older Glocks…The new Gen 4 spring supposely fixed that and after shooting numerous gen 4s with and without mounted lights…never had an issue just curious…if u have something mounted…try it without your accesssory..Next question are you limpwristing the gun…hold on to it tight…this is the number one problem I see when a handgun has an ejection problem…Next take the injector out and clean it good if it doesnt fix it throw another in…u can always use a spare if theats not the problem and its a 2 second switch…good luck Jay
November 12, 2012 at 1:29 pm #126621Congrats buddy!!! nobody deserves it more then you!! When u were dropping off Ricco that night, I was speaking to your dad and I dont think Ive ever seen a more proud father of his son. Congrats again Randy.
August 25, 2012 at 12:05 am #122361Kenetic energy wont do a thing unless your shooting I think its 2100 to 2300 ft per second. At that speed tissue will be damaged simply by the impact around the projectile…under that speed the only damage to the tissue is what actually comes into contact with your blade, point, arrow shaft etc. This is the same reason when using the proper amo a 9mm round will do ALMOST as much damage as a 40.cal…they both dont have enough speed to breakdown tissue other then the mushroom from the lead its self coming into contact with the tissue. And with the correct amo a 9mm will mushroom almost as much a .40cal… Shoot what your confident in and good luck
May 14, 2012 at 2:31 am #120644Jump up and down…turn around…do a hand stand…etc….just kidding…I feel your pain had the same thing this year…ended up pullin the decoys all together…they came in…and the wife missed..ohh well good luck.
May 14, 2012 at 2:28 am #120643I got the Lonewolf handclimber…Its quiet, comfortable, light, and durable…I like it. I would obviously like a hangon that stays in the tree but for public land or just a quick quiet change mid season the lonewolf rocks…good luck..Jay
April 1, 2012 at 9:48 pm #119651That is simply amazing….I would love to hear more on how he made that.
March 15, 2012 at 1:21 am #119410Ive hunted near Hotchkiss Colorado. I gotta say it was one of the greatest times Ive ever had on a hunt. I saw Elk and passed on some cows and ended up coming home with a tag sandwich but loved it. We did use wheelers and it worked out well for us. Our base camp was near a small lake we used for bath (cold as hell-o) and we ate traut from it for two meals. We plan on going again next year to the same spot as one of the guys we went with has been there 5 times and came home with bulls 4 of the 5 years. One thing I would like to try is to hunt from a climber stand. I know the locals view it as cheating but I think it would be a great expierence. I always had my .40 cal with me as well and had one bear at about 50 yrds when I was sitting in some down fall…here are a few pics…nothing with a tag on it but what a great time….Good luck tp you..Jay
March 5, 2012 at 10:54 am #119154I would vote Glock…Its like the hammer in your tool box no fancy bells or whistles but the dang thing always works as it should. They are very reliable and EASY to field strip and clean. Ive owned many and still do. you can put them through anything and still fire when needed. What ever you get be sure you and your wife know how to use it well and see how they sre to field strip…some guns are a pain in the a$$, and if you want it for years to come it needs to be cleaned…Glock for me but enjoy what evey you get Jay
February 20, 2012 at 2:40 pm #118738I agree with what you said but would also add that Mn has their gun season ( where the majority of people hunt) during prime rut typically. You put all those together and it would be tough for me to ever consider the state of Mn a hot spot. Yes we produce many many large bucks but still I wouldnt consider it being a “hot spot” in the near future….Jay

December 20, 2011 at 1:11 am #116998There are not many jobs out there where you go to work and know someone may want to intentionally take your life simply because of the job your doing. God bless him, his family, and the community!
November 30, 2011 at 11:59 pm #116009100% foul….even my 2.5 year old son said “that deer looks silly”.
November 23, 2011 at 11:10 am #115459I agree with you Coppertop about camera angle it makes him look alot bigger then he actually is in ’09…but I have about 20 pics of him this year and about 6 in ’09 and bigger in ’09…if I was any kind of hunter Id have him down and wouldnt have pics of deer shrinking on me
November 23, 2011 at 1:53 am #115427Just found one more good pic of him…still a big bodied deer but antler size may be going down. Its kind of sad but I have one more big 10 on camera and he went down bigtime from last year as well…I think I may have to think about picking up a gun next year after the bow season..
November 23, 2011 at 1:18 am #115418Some great lookin deer…we always hunt pheasant near Miller and I am always amazed on how many big bucks we kick up out of the smallest patches of “cover”.
