I have worked in many archery shops on and off for the past 15 years and am a High Country Archery dealer. Although I don’t deal in crossbows, I became a fan of Ten Point from my time at other shops. Ten Point also makes the Six Point and Wicked Ridge brands. You can pick them up pretty much anywhere crossbows are sold.

You should also check out the Vision 175 from Horton. It is the smoothest and quietest crossbow I have ever shot.

If you want to talk and your in the Minnesota area, I work part-time at Marv’s Minnows in Zimmerman. We don’t have crossbows in the store, but I can help you track one down. Or, just send me a message.

I actually work part-time at the Rogers store. There are a couple nights coming up that customers can get the employee discount. One is a family and friend event Nov. 19-21. And, there are 2 days coming up where you need to have the Cabela’s Visa to get invited.

The discount is different for every product in the store. 15% is about average. Guns and electronics will be less. Clothes and Cabela’s branded products will be more.

You can wash it just make sure you use soap designed for gore tex. Gore tex doesn’t stand up to chemicals very well. If you use the wrong soap, you may damage the membrane and it will not work. Or, you can also glog the pores in the gore tex. It would still be waterproof in this case, but it would no longer be breathable.

He was always coming back, but he had to make sure it was after the majority of training camp was over.

Sorry, I worded that poorly. They will do residential, but they specialize in higher bandwidth connections. Their price my not be as good on a standard home connection. So, this isn’t a market they push to get into. My office isn’t much bigger than my house, but we work with computer systems and security/surveillance so we use a lot of bandwidth.

I have had both and have to choose Comcast, but I have had issues with both. Is this for home or business? My company uses a company called Integra that is based in Golden Valley. They beat the hell out of both of them-better customer service and it was actually cheaper then Comcast. If you want, send me a PM and I can get you in contact with our guy. And FYI, besides my company using their service I have no affiliation with Integra.

I work part-time at the Rogers Cabelas and I had a customer ask me about a “bear feeder” they saw online. After spending significant time showing them every feeder and jug of bear bait we had, finally we came across this “beer feeder” online. Personally, I would spend $30 on a cooler and save the $135 for the beer. But, I’m sure someone will fork over the cash.

Its nice to see everyone ripping on my competition. I work for Providential Solutions Group in Fridley and we do security, phone, and computer systems mostly for businesses. ADT actually put a sticker on our window. Obviously, they didn’t look too close at the signs all over the door, or noticed all the cameras.

In his defense, its desperate times and they are just trying to get their name out there. Its not the way I do it, but who knows maybe it works better than my approach. FYI-I will not be finding out.

I have had Costa Del Mar in the past and they are nice glasses. But, I got a good deal on some Native glasses two years ago and really like them. They are light, but have been durable. The nice thing for sight fishing is the interchangeable lenses. I have a dark lense and two different amber so I’m set for most any condition.

You couldn’t go wrong with the Costa’s, but just another option.

I currently own a 150hp Yamaha 4 stroke and couldn’t be happier. Its going on its 2nd season. I’ve always run Yamaha’s and have never had a single issue, so I’m pretty biased. I also run a 70hp 2-stroke for the last 4 years on a boat I co-own, and its been a rock. Thats not to rip on Mercs, I know they make a good product. But, why fix what isn’t broke.

I’m sure you’ve done some research, but if you haven’t checked out Yamaha’s website they have performance test with specific boats and motors I found very useful when I was shopping.

I’ve heard bits of that song, but never listened to the whole thing. Its so refreshing not to hear another “my hearth is broken” song. I have a short, but distinguished list I would like to dedicate that one to!

Wow! People never cease to amaze. Go find a warm bar, cold beer, and order fish. Or at least, borrow a boat.

I actually work setting up security systems for businesses and I have heard many stories like yours. Too bad their camera system didn’t help you.

It is a good reminder though. I know I get too passive sometimes with safe gaurding my equipment. Good luck-I hope you get the SOB’s

I know people that have used both, but I always use mono backer and a knot and have never had an issue.

Thanks! That puts my mind at ease-and the pocket book too. Looks like it’s time to drop off the kid at Grandma and Grandpas in Alma and hit the Pool 4.

I have been running a new Windows 7 machine for a little over a month and have had no issues so far. The system does seem to have a lot less stuff running in the background than the other Windows OS. I personally wouldn’t have upgraded if my old machine didn’t crash beyond repair, but I wouldn’t worry about too many bugs in Windows 7. I have been pleasantly suprised.

I have a 70hp 2 stroke Yamaha on 16.5 ft. aluminum fishing boat. I purchased a stainless 3 blade prop from cabelas when I got the motor new about three years ago. It is cabelas name brand. I can’t say that the performance was that much better or worse, but the durability has been very good. I’ve ripped up many props in my day, but this one still looks almost new. I recently purchases a new 18ft Aluminum with a 150hp Yamaha four stroke. I will be getting a stainless prop for it yet this year.

I am far from an expert on pitch and all that jazz, so hopefully somebody else on here can enlighten both of us.

I tried the stren super braid last year and wasn’t happy at all. Hopefully the new stuff is better, but I will not be risking it. Sorry to be so negative, but that was just my observations.

Cortland does make some outstanding line. I also like Power Pro a lot.

I’m a pool 4 guy, and my go to topwater is a zara puppy. Something with red on it. I never fish the river without one tied on. A number 6 chug bug or Rapala skitter pop are always good to have along too.

Wow, I’m also new to the site and I never expected so many responses. Thanks for all the info, thats exactly what I was looking for. I expect to spend a fair amount of time on Mille Lacs, but it will be nice to have a few places to go and play after work. I’ll be in touch!

PS I’m working at Princeton Auto doing some selling and helping with their computers as well. I went to school for computers, but in these times one must be flexible in the job search. I’ve only been at this job for a little over a month, but it is a pretty nice gig.
