My 2007 Tyee was the same. Made it a pain to dig rods out. I’m thinking I might add the same style rod holders in the back. That way if I’m fishing off the bow a guy could store them back by the motor.

I can fit 6 rods in the rod holders under the gunnels. Three on each side. And then I installed six rod holders up in the bow. That enables me to keep things organized when you’re casting on the main deck.

Really appreciate the update. Always good to have a review after the newness is worn off and a guy has experience with a product. So far after a year I’m loving my Falcon!

Joe you’re a funny guy! It’s gone on 6 days of ice fishing and three times in a boat. I’d say that’s not much use. It’s part of an ice fishing bundle. So it goes in the Garmin bag with the rest of the pole. But you’re too late! marendt has spoke for it so I’m closing this thread down. Thanks for all the interest guys.
    Merry Christmas!!!

I live in Hutchinson KS. I fish in SD a lot so if you’re in the Webster area I can bring it there? Or I can ship it. If I ship it all PP fees and shipping costs are paid by buyer. Thanks

I’ve filled to just at 3/4 a tank. You think I should top it off completely to check it, or am ok at this level?

I bought the 2025 Falcon from them earlier this year. I keep it in my garage at the house. I’m always checking for gas smells now!

Not good! Todd, is the tank aluminum? I can’t tell from your pic.

I’ve only had my 2025 Falcon out once for 3 hours breaking in the 150 Honda. I was definitely checking for gas smells. Nothing at all like my Lund Tyee. It was terrible! Ride was every bit as good as my Lund. But it is noisier since there’s no foam in it like the Tyee. But ride and handling are fantastic. Keep us posted on the gas smell situation…very curious how they handle it?

Just purchased a Kingfisher 2025 Falcon. Anyone have any experience with these? Looking for some affirmation!

Had a 07 Lund Tyee 1950 GranSport with the I/O. Too nice of a boat for me to fish out of. I’m sure the Falcon won’t ride as nice due to how light it is. But really liked the open deck to be able to customize it how I want.

Bubba, get the kit with four blades and a spare battery. The small thin blades are amazing for crappie and bluegill. I’ve used the thick large blades on 5-12lb wipers. Works great on those big boned fish. And ergonomically better than all the rest for me.

Already have a 9 and 7…how much to go fishing in that with you? And do we get to do some 360’s in it?

That’s interesting! I just came back from 3 days of fishing for stripers and wipers. A finicky bite on one of the three days and had a 3/1 hook up ratio on the rippin rap. Interstingly, the Phantom Tilly did not have this problem with near perfect hook ups. It has to be how the lure reacts with the split ring attached. Did it affect the lure action?

I purchased a towtector to protect my new Lund Tyee. Had to drive 8miles on a recently gravel overlaid asphalt highway. Speeds of 35-50 MPH. Towtect was “WORTHLESS”! Had over $8000 in damage on my new boat the first time I took it out. Company rep walked me through the selection process and recommended the model for me to use. And then they tried to tell me I chose the wrong model. Don’t buy Towtector!

    Jamin,

Thanks for starting all this for everyone. Are we close to ordering? I’m getting trigger happy and ready to make my first drive up to hard water heaven!

I crushed big crappie on Christmas Eve last year on GlenElder here in KS. Caught a mess of 2-3 lb white bass and some big wipers and even catfish on them. I’ve got a ton of all sizes and colors!

I would be interested in two batteries and a charger.
    Thanks!

The winter I lived in MN it did! A wall of snow down the drive.

The snow intel I gathered on Oahe and Waubay didn’t look that bad. Pierre showed dryer than Webster.

    Thanks for the help guys!

I’m not opposed to winter cold, it’s getting 6′ of snow I didn’t like. I love cold weather and hibernate during our KS summers. Anything above 80 is too hot for me.

I’ve looked at the Billings area as I Elk hunt the Crazy Mountains each year. Just not close enough to a lake. I’m looking to drive minutes not hours to get to water.

Can anyone tell me specifics on Oahe or Waubay?

    Please keep the ideas coming!
