Dave I sent you a PM yesterday. I have an Onix 10SI Cross Touch that I will sell. Planning to upgrade to Solix when it comes out next month.
November 18, 2016 at 8:08 am #1651233I’m interested in buying your boat. I’m in Madison, WI. Where are you located? Also is your 15 hp motor a four stroke?
September 2, 2016 at 7:17 am #1637324That is a huge sturgeon. Wow!!!! (The one the girl is holding and kissing that Brian posted on page one)
April 29, 2016 at 10:13 am #1616426That was a great tournament Ken. I remember you telling me in the past that that lake has big channel cats in it. Those boat lunches always help make good fishing memories. Congratulations on the win.
April 5, 2016 at 6:36 am #1611602Yes Ken, that’s a beauty. We’ll be planning a trip to LaSalle this summer.
March 29, 2016 at 6:55 am #1610028I’m interested but I need to know the diameter of the shaft, diameter of the base, the number of holes in the base and the height range of the pedestal.
March 26, 2016 at 6:43 pm #1609470Don’t underestimate the shaft length you need. It’s not just the height of your boat above the water line that you need to consider. I have found that on windy (wavy) days if your shaft is too short it will come right out of the water. also when you’re running the trolling motor from the back of the boat with the remote it’s nice to have the head of the motor up in the air a ways so you can see it. things and people can get between you and the motor head and block your view so I always buy the 60 inch shaft.
March 18, 2016 at 7:10 pm #1607770Now you’ve got me REALLY curious. Would one of you guys enlighten me?
March 18, 2016 at 8:22 am #1607606Ken that sounds like a real fun afternoon. Especially on that last spot.
March 18, 2016 at 8:19 am #1607603Ringworms….
Ringworms? Brian are you switching over to the dark side and fishing for walleyes? or are you suggesting a new bait for catfish?

January 21, 2016 at 3:41 pm #1594428Good job Ken, Looking forward to our first time out on Lake Mendota. Should be pretty soon now.
January 12, 2016 at 8:21 am #1591783Thanks for fixing whatever was wrong guys. Oh and SuperDave1959 some of my friends call me “Catfish Jerry”.
January 7, 2016 at 7:01 pm #1590648Thanks for your efforts guys but I’m trying to change my name that shows with my avatar from Jerry-Ho to Jerry Hochhausen. I went to my profile and selected edit. In the field for your full name I have entered Jerry Hochhausen and clicked save changes. Nothing has changed. Did I do something wrong?
January 7, 2016 at 6:47 am #1590361This is January 7th 2016 I just tried to change my full name in the profile editing screen and I could type in the new name but it didn’t change what displays on my posts. Is there another bug on the system? Thanks for checking. I’ll watch for your reply.
December 19, 2015 at 3:16 pm #1586026Congratulations Brian. I wish Wisconsin would adopt the same rules for channel cats and flatheads as MN.
December 15, 2015 at 3:21 pm #1585010I’m looking forward to doing some Ice Cat Fishing this winter also. I couldn’t believe what I heard on a local talk show here in Madison this morning. They were saying some supposed expert just made a report on Lake Mendota saying that we may not get safe ice on the lake this winter. I think he’s being a little rash. It’s only December 15th. there have been many times when there’s no snow at Christmas and the lakes still freeze over. Time will tell but I try to take it as it comes and not make these kind of rash predictions.
July 14, 2014 at 12:28 pm #1440185I’m a little late getting in on this thread but I would like to comment. I was there in the boat back in May right next to Ken’s when that rod went down and Little nine year old Drew got to fight that 25 pounder in front of all of us who were gathered for lunch in the boats. It made a great lunch even better.
February 17, 2014 at 12:12 pm #1389320Dirk there are a lot of great rods for circle hooks and the ones that have been mentioned are certainly good rods. I have been using 7’6″ Cat Fight Rods from Bottom Dwellers Tackle and really like them. They have a nice fast action tip section and have great backbone for fighting big fish. They’re rated for 15 to 40 pound line and 2 to 5 oz lures. They also have a heavier rod offering for big blue cats or even sharks in salt water. And for those who prefer spinning rods they offer a spinning rod in the cat fight line. These rods are built tough and have solid stainless steel guides and cork handles. They have been tested under extreme conditions. They’re also very reasonably priced.
January 26, 2014 at 2:38 pm #1383209Good show and camera work. I always enjoy getting up there to catch a bunch of whitefish. It’s so much fun using the underwater camera to see what’s going on down there and to know right when to set the hook.
January 16, 2014 at 3:01 pm #1380353Thanks for sharing that video. I loved it. What a nice Lake trout.
January 16, 2014 at 2:50 pm #1380348They’re a lot of fun catching and good to eat. I really enjoy using my underwater camera to watch the whitefish come in and take the bait.
