Thank you for your list of possible causes. No fuse. I go to the circuit box with red and black under dash. I suspect that your hypothesis about voltage is correct. My read out indicates low voltage. I put the battery on the charger to bring it up to full charge. Only two years old. Hope this is not persisted problem. Connections on back of unit are tight.

Could two batteries series together provide more voltage and solve this problem or would create a new problem?

Thanks for the feedback. How about kicker motor and front trolling motor? Has there been much theft out there?

Raptor Cap looks good. I used a frame of 3 inch pine, top and sides of plexi glass. It is 10 inches across the top and 4 inches down sides, 5 inches towards front. No cost, materials from scrapes in garage. I do not think I can keep it on while trailering. I will place on at the boat landing with two bolts and wing knots. Lots of rain in WI. Rather be fishing. I will post picture as soon as I can get on water.

I will compare versions. I purchased April 16, 2010. According to forums this new version is needed.

Thank You for your reply. I was referring to the signals from the transducers. The SI sends a signal to the 998c unit and the 2D sends a signal to the 998c unit. How does the H 998c deal with two transducer signals?

998c on Alum. 1750 Crestliner. ?? Does the 998c take readings from both transducers. the SI at slow speed and the 2d at fast speed? How does this work?

Thank you for the picture. It looks as if the Side Imaging Transducer is close to the center keel and the high speed is 12 inches away towards side. You must use a Y connector? I like that board that you attach to your boat.

Thanks for the quick reply. I have Crestliner ( AL ) Fish Hawk 1750 single console with 115 Opti Mercury.
In reading, it seemed that using two transducers made for better reception than just the one. The Hummingbird site listed a transducer XNT 9 20 T for 67.99 and y cable AS SIDB y for 23.99. If it would improve reception, maybe I should?

I would put the GPS puck on the right had side rear corner of the boat. The motor cowling may obstruct. Do some people place the puck higher in the air on a ram mount?

I like the idea of weather module. Advantages?
