I don’t think you will find a new battery for that auger. I believe they were recalled because of all the failures.

I have them on my big aluminum boat. I float the boat on/off so I can’t tell you if they are slippery. They seem durable and haven’t scuffed my paint at all in 5 years. I’d buy them again.

Hard start kits are for cold weather starting or for compressors that are wearing out and need an extra boost to get them going. If that sounds like something you need, then have one installed. Soft starts are beneficial on generator powered systems. If you don’t have one you probably don’t need a soft start either.

Dick smith’s live bait & tackle sells the “pulsator” long rods. They are conveniently out of stock at the moment. My favorite one is a frabill jiggler, but they have been discontinued for many years.

I have a few long rods, they can be hard to find. There is a place that make custom long rods that run the line inside the blank. Too spendy for the 2-3 times a year I use them.

I actually went away from clip on boards for a mast system. It worked great last year. I think I lost 2 fish all weekend that way. I can’t count how many I have had dunk the board a hundred yards out only to come off.

I’ll be out of algoma around the 4th. Last year I switched from mono to wire dipseys, I went from 1 bite a trip to 6. 300 copper were getting hits too so I set up a pair of 400 coppers to test out my crews forearm endurance. My rigger game has been trash. I pulled one and replace it with a pump handle rig and did better. Maybe a 50 copper or lead would help. If you want to relax and take it easy, don’t go salmon fishing. Want to save on salmon prices at the grocery store? DON’T GO SALMON FISHING!

I replaced my rs net bags with thinner poly. Much easier to pull thru the water when trolling.

I remember having some of those about 20 years ago. I don’t remember of it was a knockoff fuzz e grub or a variation made by lindy.

I’d say it’s to pick up the ladies, but I’ve never seen one with a female passenger. Maybe they are for picking up dudes?

20-30k and the first stage filter still looks like new.

Drilled some holes on the st croix once. After 4 my blades looked like I took a hatchet to them from the sand stuck in the ice. Then I found out there was a foot of slush under the ice!

It’s all a family thing. If your dad drove a ford, your gonna drive ford. If he drove a chevy, you probably own a chevy. If you drive a ram you had two dads.

The good news is you can buy a used running powerhead for next to nothing.

I just had to replace the cdi box on my fourtrax. Went to start it when it was -10. No spark! Pulled the cdi and warmed it up, fires right up. Can we go back to points ignition?

I forgot my rod box in the driveway at grubs house one morning. We figured that one out 2 hours into the drive.

I bet there is a sediment screen somewhere in the hot water piping for the faucet.

I have the 10″ poly. I haven’t had any durability issues with the cold. I don’t drill tons of holes so I can’t say how long the battery lasts.

I kept breaking the orange plastic scoops so I went with a galvanized steel one.

$100 “custom” ice rod that doesn’t have a reel seat. I’d like to see that trend go away.
