I really like the jacket but the front access on the bibs is limited. If you need to take a leak you have to almost fully undress. Not ideal if it is raining. I ordered a different set of bibs. The jacket is excellent.

Cabela’s guide ware is good stuff along with Frabill storm suits. If you are an NPAA (national professional anglers association) member you get a good discount on the Frabill stuff.

G-Mac construction is reasonable as well as high quality Talk to Mike 608.797.2478 The other name I would consider would be Paul at Heartland Construction. Don’t think you could go wrong with either

Humminbird line is pretty user freindly. To get the most bang for your buck you may want to push your budget up some if you can. A 700 series would get you the most features for your money without breaking the bank.

Use the directional setting to maintain a path at very slow speed. Using the directional setting, you don’t have to adjust the motor direction so much in the current.

I have drove both and own a 1900. I can say that for the windy days on the Missouri I would prefer the 1900. Smaller rivers and lakes the handling of the 1825mx is a great boat. Both would work great for you. The bigger water I would lean towards a wx 1900. Dean is a great resource!

The 2100 Skeeter is a great boat and waves wouldn’t crest the bow when trolling in the wind. I got the opportunity to drive the new wx 2190 which is replacing the 2100. It is absolutely an amazing dry ride! Both would be great options for you.

This year was a great event for La Crosse. I worked for Skeeter during the weekend and just about every angler said the attendance was amazing and fishing was good! Glad to hear they are returning! The Visitors and Convention Bureau worked hard to get them back for next year.

I have a 2011 1900 and love it! I get 50 mph with a full load of gear, gas and another person.

When rigging use a least a 6ft mono or flouro leader. Especially if there is much fishing pressure.

I was a long time lowrance user as well. Went to birds last year and found them to be much more user friendly. Adjustments to settings are easy and the preset buttons are a must. With a few hours on the water using them you should not be disappointed.

I would say LOTW. Maybe consider Rainy if Granrud has the bit going! Thats a tough question.

Question reddog. Do you get your name because you have a red dog?

I wish they had a snap in carpet option for the WX series like the MX. I fish from Dec to May, so my fishing is almost done for the year. During the time that I fish, there are no docks.. I have to land on mud, rocks, shale or whatever. I was going to get the MX with snap in for this reason.. but the wife overruled it and voted for the WX. (her vote counts 2, mine 1, and Im alright with that)

As to the reddog, back when I was first getting on the internet, I needed a name and this is what I came up with and it stuck.. No particular reason

WX 1900 has snap in carpet! The jump seats usually sells the family over the MX

Red Door is a clean place and you can have your camp fire. Great people take good care of that place!

Call Dean at Skeeter Boat Center. They may know of someone who is on the fence of trading up.

Once upon a time I had a lund and went to a Skeeter. You only will wish you did it sooner. You couldn’t be in better hands with the Skeeter Boat Center Team!
