Had a friend mess with my line once while I was fishing. It’s strange every since then the passenger side of my boat always seems to be taking the brunt of the waves beating on it while were running -my side seems to stay pretty dry! I also noticed he seems to snag up alot more when we’re trolling than I do??? Weird

Good call Jack. I did change the gear oil this fall as with every year, but it obviously took on water last time out. After reading your post I pulled the prop and you were dead right, the seal’s been torn up by a wad of mono. I’d be all about renting one of Dean’s fine vessels but I think I’m going to go ahead and work tomorrow and try to get the replacement unit and take my holiday day off later this week. There’s just something about the way you rig your own boat that you can’t do without. Anybody got any advise as to where a can pick up a lower unit for a reasonable fee…fast?

Thanks Guys-I want a report from Monday (not too good I hope)

I’ve caught those little suckers before to! I kinda thought they looked like a cross between a pumpkinseed and a rock bass. Hard saying not knowing though…

I’ve got one to. I really like it, it’s very accurate and it’s kind of like cruise control for sleep trolling around mille lacs at night.

Brian-Right side of the center pillar of the dash near the floor there’s a fuse panel. Pull the cover off. There is a 5 amp fuse that runs the radio. It’s blown. It happens all the time on those cars. I’d just replace it with a 15 amp fuse and the problem will be resolved-your decision though…it’s not normally recommended to upgrade fuse sizes…In my opinion and experience you’ll be good. If memory serves there’s actually two 5A fuses in that box, you may have to take them out to see which one’s blown. If you need a hand give me a ring.

alot of them broadcast with digital. Also there are changes you need to make in the box to go from PCM to Dolby Digital if you use the digital output. Give me a call if you need a hand my company does cover the Hudson area.

“I cant reveal the live bait we used with the slip bobbers due to an up coming tourney next weekend. All I cant say it wasnt something any walleye angler would normally use.”

“and 5-6 tiny 3-4 inch smallmouth”

Some of the best fishing I’ve had has been in those hours. Last year I had a nice run that started with a foul weathered night where I didn’t even get on the water until 2am or so (don’t ask) that night me and a partner boated 16 eyes between 24″-28″ with not one keeper. Followed that school in the wee hours of the morning for about 2 weeks with good success. Like Lip said though BURR!!
