Sorry I should have said adjust the contrast not sensitivity. If I remember correctly turn the contrast down in shallow water and turn up in deeper water. Also like fishim mentioned above, in shallow water change the frequency to 455 khz and when in deeper water change it to 800 khz, this will make a big difference in resolution

It looks like you are in fairly shallow water, try turning down the sensitivity and that should clear up your picture quality. From my experience any side or down imaging requires sensitivity adjustment as you move from shallow to deeper water or the same from deep to shallow.
Once you become more familiar with what you are seeing and have more experience in fine tuning the sensitivity, you will not need to adjust as much.
In your example picture, you can see how bright the bottom looks on your graph and on the simulator the bottom is not bright at all. You do not want the bottom to show that bright, by turning down the sensitivity the bottom will apear darker and your “fog” will likely clear up.
Hope this helps!!
April 22, 2008 at 2:39 am #6771742002 1900 Pro V IFS 200 Yamaha four stroke 48mph GPS. I don’t care about speed that much but sure seems slow. Anyone know if I may have a problem?? I have a 19 pitch prop running about 5400 rpms. I have been a bit disappointed in the performance of this boat motor combo. Out of the hole is a struggle, seems like top speed should be a bit more, and these fourstrokes are not that fuel efficient from what I am seeing. Any advice on changes if this sounds out of the ordinary would be appreciated
March 28, 2008 at 1:50 am #596797I have always ran Amsoil in my motors. Went to pick some up this spring and it is now $75 for a case of 10-30. Needless to say I am not running it this year.
March 24, 2008 at 11:48 pm #668969Congrats! Where did you get a spot? I would be willing to guide you around for a small fee Just kidding it would be the worst thing you ever spent your money on
March 18, 2008 at 9:22 am #666497Sorry have not checked the post for a while. No you can not get into the park your only option is Ash Lake. Ash River leaving Ash lake is very shallow. Just up from Ash River trail there is a waterfall in the river also.
March 10, 2008 at 4:29 am #663787I frequent the Ash River Trail. If you do a search for Ash River Trail you should be able to find something. I highly reccomend the area, we have a cabin just south on Ash lake and I go to Voyaguers park whenever I can.

If I lose my job, I will get another, but I lose all my pay increases starting over at the bottom and I lose all the benefits and perks that I worked a long time for.
Usually that happens with factory jobs and employment where anyone can fill their positions and they have set scales for wages, vacation, and benefits. Besides those jobs, you should be able to sell yourself to a higher standard and negotiate your wages, vacation, and benefits.
I am in law enforcement so not just anyone can fill a position. If I go to another agency I may be able to negotiate a pay step or two increase at starting, but everything else starts over. Seniority is a big thing, vacation time, working nights weekends, and holidays etc.
Now that I am way off topic I will let it go here
Good post got people talking…NOW how has the fishing been

Unless your the one losing your livelihood. You say that you lose a job and get another and life goes on… Wow what a statement. If I lose my job, I will get another, but I lose all my pay increases starting over at the bottom and I lose all the benefits and perks that I worked a long time for.
February 14, 2008 at 10:00 am #655007Funny you mentioned that! We talked about bringing ringies with and forgot to bring them. I will definately give it a shot and the jigging raps too! Thanks for the advice guys
February 9, 2008 at 5:42 am #653488I had that happen to the non-color H20. I took it back and got a new one no questions asked. Not sure what the problem was, otherwise you can contact Lowrance and see about a repair. I have had my H20 over a year with no problems now. Good luck

February 5, 2008 at 12:09 am #651546There are a ton of Vexilar FL-8 out there. Very good unit and one that I am reluctant to switch from. I really like mine and has worked very well in every situation. You can’t really go wrong with any of the brands. I mention the FL-8 because you can find them used for 150-200 bucks at the most.
February 4, 2008 at 4:34 am #651185We were on the Minnesota side. We were north of Lake City, but not around the crowds. I try to avoid were everyone else is at most of the time. I have found that we can usually find more consistant fish away from everyone else, although we just cant always make them bite
February 4, 2008 at 2:12 am #651123I love the coloring on that fish Nothing better than fighting a good size fish on ultra lite setup, nice job
January 29, 2008 at 4:37 am #648812Thanks for the review, I have been curious about this unit myself. Sounds like you had a good trip! Hopefully your pics work out I would be interested to see them
January 25, 2008 at 5:55 pm #647752Pike, walleye and crappie. Wrap them in aluminum foil with butter and lemon pepper and place in the oven at 325-350, or my favorite on the grill. Very quick, easy and delicious way to cook them! I am definately trying some of the other recipes as well, thanks for the tips
January 20, 2008 at 8:12 pm #645537You were fine in my book as well that should have been enough distance. Usually when I see shacks grouped together I stay away from that area totally, just because with that many people noise and fishing pressure can move the fish away. I usually have the best luck avoiding the crowds all together, and fishing off on my own. In the boat the same way. I usually do just as well, if not better, by staying away and doing my own thing.
January 19, 2008 at 3:43 pm #645187Too bad there isn’t something that can be done to prevent or lessen the effects of winterkill. There is some stocking done to those lakes, and i am sure there is nice fish to be had too!
January 19, 2008 at 2:30 am #645113Some family were in the Orr area last weekend. Trails were great condition, you should have a blast Have a safe trip
January 17, 2008 at 11:36 pm #644647Congrats…nothin better than getting a new shack! Except for putting it together of course
