Well, I certainly hope that is true. I by no means want to stray from the real issues for sure! It sure would be nice to see the Mille Lacs bands then join with the non-natives in the area and try to promote the lake. Why don’t they?

I understand that they don’t care for the WI and MI tribes coming over here. Why don’t they try to help with that??
I just feel like there are things they could be doing to help the situation if they truely care. They have tons of lakes that they could target as well. Maybe Mille Lacs should be a certain % of their take for the year so the pressure can be taken off a bit and the whole community can survive.
Until I see movements from them in some positive light for the well being of the lake, I’m not buying it! A theory of course is just that… a theory. Thank you though for taking the time to make valid points!

So, by killing the Lake they gain a little bit of soil. How do you factor the lost revenue from the vacationing tourist visiting the Lake into your equation?

I am just as concerned about the lost revenue to the resorts and businesses as you are. My theory? We are the invasive species to the tribes. How do they get us out? Crash the lake to make the resorts/buisnesses/homes less desirable and a lot more affordable. Then, buy them up. It is slowly working for them and it has to stop. That is why contacting legislatures is a good idea. We anglers may not have all of the funds needed at this point, but we all equal a vote. If the elected officials felt enough pressure from all of the anglers, not only caring about Mille Lacs but other lakes as well, they just might get scared that they woun’t get re-elected. That is more power then the tribes can buy. That is why I believe we need to voice our outrage!
