In comparison, go to my post in the ice fishing forum, think I named it, “Yay Yay, another thing off my checklist” If you go to the second page of comments, I posted another pic of my walleye, that was 29 1/2″ and weighing in at 8lbs 9ozs.. So it would be a little bigger in girth than that.. Hope that gives ya an idea..

Stopped in at the bait store the other day and Ronny had this pic up on the wall of my walleye… Better than the ones taken out on the lake

does anyone remember what the Mediterranean Cruise Cafe looked like in Eagan before they moved to Burnsville??
That is I think the closest thing I can come up with as to where it might have been.. The Med. Cafe moved to burnsville and Ansari’s opened in Eagan in the old bakers square.. Which now I’m not sure if Ansari’s is even open cause of a fire they had.. ugh..

If it wasn’t for the warm weather that we have been having, I would just tell you to plug it in, get it up to a freezing temp in the freezer and then unplug it. But since we have had all these warm temps, it’s fine to have it plugged in… I have mine in my garage, it was unplugged during the cold snap, but has been plugged back in due to the warm temps..

So I guessing that you were looking at Recoil repair kit on the strikemaster website??

Kinda funny, it took me so much longer to read four pages of people fighting than it did to find the same kit on Ebay for $13.39 and $5.95 for expedited shipping.. For a grand total of $19.34… Always check around when looking to buy something.. Saved you on original price on the parts and on SH charges…
    http://www.ebay.com/itm/ORIGINAL-TECUMSEH-PART-RECOIL-REPAIR-KIT-RPL-590693-590779-/270825264373?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item3f0e7194f5

But it was pretty comical to read all of it

I used to buy the JACK LINKS jerky seasonings also, they quit making it about 3 years ago…

I checked with my friend that works there (Jack Links), and yes indeed, Jack Links no longer makes their seasoning for public sale… I can do a little more digging and see if he can find out what spices they used to make it with…

I love the “kirby” vacuum people, they say they will clean you entire carpet and then do a 4’x4′ spot… Not worth my time cause I’m not spending $1200 (on the cheap end) for a vacuum cleaner…

It’s a WI truck.. the guy lives just down the street from my parents.. I have to chuckle a little bit, his dad and him screwed me out of my deer hunting spot… It was just outside of boston bay next to where everyone swims on the sandbar aka sunset point.. Here’s another pic.. Guess getting it out the first night wasn’t priority…

Might just have to pick one up, cause between my cars at my house and my parents abundance of vehicles at theirs it would pay for itself… $35 to scan it at my mechanic…

are you sure it is the switch and not a gauge going bad!

You are sure you have oil pressure? if you have a mechanical gauge you can screw it in where you take out the old switch to check and see if you have good oil pressure! If you do then buy the switch! if it still reads low its your oil pressure gauge going bad..

Yep I’m sure.. Check engine light came on Friday, brought it to my mechanic and had him scan it (as I was driving my car to the cities saturday for a funeral and didn’t need problems getting down there)… Got a code for the oil pressure sending unit, my thermostat (which is just getting weak, still have good heat.. will be changing same time as the sending unit), and the last code was for the shift lever, which I knew was already bad… (The great makers of GM products definantly screwed up the design on my shift lever. There is a wire that runs down for the “Low” gear where you can switch between 1-4th gears. That wire gets pinched when you shift between park, drive, reverse etc over time.. I’ve already replaced the shift lever once, then just fixed the wire that was bad on the old one so I have a spare..) I only drive this car in the winter, and drive my VW Jetta TDI in the summer, if it weren’t for it being my winter car, it’d be sent down the road.. Have had way too many problems with it from the time I bought it new.. Think it was made on a monday or a friday…

Awsome Brian! Great to hear but I kind of dont understand the wording(very typical)but great news none the less! Thank you

That’s why when everyone says stuff about WI Regs being confusing, I just giggle to myself, never fished in MN other than when I was really little, and was interested in what the differences were in laws between MN & WI, I tried to read MN’s regs regarding hooks, I was just like ok, guess I’m not even going to attempt to fish in MN cause I would be a DNR warden’s dream…
Their wording is horrible, they need to make it in “I am an idiot and need direction or pictures” talk lol

I can not attest to what happens in MN, but in WI, the DNR has people out at the lakes landings (different lakes all the time)in both the summer and winter. These people are not wardens but they are out there to meet people as they come off the lake, they do “fish surveys” they ask people how many fish they caught, how many they threw back, how many they kept and how long they were out fishing.
I have talked to a few of them (normally on Balsam Lake)..
WI doesn’t have the same means when it comes to deer hunting, but they do have a survey on their website where you can keep track of what you are seeing for whitetails for each day and if you harvested a deer, how long you hunted and if you were on public or private land. You can then submit your results to the DNR for their use on helping to figure out deer populations. I did the survey last year but kinda forgot about it this year.
I guess we need to keep our voices heard and if it takes some ambition on our parts, then we need to do so. (kinda like voting.. Don’t bit*h if you don’t vote mentality).. I guess all I can say for my fellow across the river friends, maybe take a look at what WI is doing for keeping track of our fish/deer populations and see if they would be able to implement something like it. I’m not saying WI is the “perfect” dnr state, cause I too think WI thinks there are more deer than there are, but it’s not the easiest thing to keep track of how many deer there are due to what we already have existing, fawns on their way, the fawns that don’t make it, car/deer kills, hunting, poaching, etc.. I guess the same goes to fishing since there is no real “registering” of fish other than sturgeon..
    Just my $.02….

Hell for that much a year I’d even do your laundry and dishes… Childcare is outrageous… My niece who is the same age as I am has two children (thank god Ethan is finally in school) but she would get assistance from the county when she had both of them in daycare, it wasn’t much but it helped.. She works crazy hours trying to make as much money as she can since the father of her children can’t seem to make any child support payments due to his drinking and finding his way to a jail cell quite frequently… I give single moms everywhere props for holding it together.. Luckily for my niece, her aunt loves her great-niece and great nephew and take them whenever I can for her..

Thanks everyone-It’s been a rough few days.. and I am sure that the next two weeks will be rough also with a funeral (St. Paul) and a celebration of life (at her former employer’s business)..
I do want to send prayers to Dayne Bottolfson’s family, as he is the other driver that caused the crash.. He is clinging to life at Regions. It is very hard to do when there is still such resentment, but one death is enough..

I would check the trap first if it’s not draining, my mom’s just did the same thing (she has a whirlpool) with no local repair-man around that works on whirlpool in our area, the lady we bought it from walked me through what to do.. The new machines have great access to the trap, not so much for the older ones.. After cleaning it once, I recommend cleaning every two months or so… Still trying to come up with some kind of contraption to “funnel” the water into a bucket so there’s not water everywhere..
BUT I did find my dad’s pocket-knife (that my mom or I “stole”), one of my great nephews socks, about $.85 in change and kleenex pieces.. It’s amazing what can make it’s way into those traps… Now I believe it when people say the washing machine ate my socks…
The parents are awful lucky that I’m so caring to leave my own house of issues to come deal with theirs
Hopefully cleaning the drain fixes the problem.. I did notice when we unhooked their washer (they bought a new LG) that there was a bunch of ooeey gooey buildup in the line that goes to the sewer, so I would check that also, but if the machine is only two months old I can’t imagine that much build-up, unless you have some nasty nasty water..

PaulK-You should of asked her if you sat basically on the dividing line if you could have 3 lines on the WI side and 2 on the MN side, since WI as long as you are in immediate proximity to your lines you are ok to be away from them.. Would love to hear the DNR’s take… As a previous post mentioned…

I hit up BL today north-east of paradise.. Only caught a 13″ bass and two 18″ pike.. No pan fish whatsoever.. I did see a lot of people going around the corner towards east balsam and to the west of sunny-side.. Took a ride on the wheeler around the point and it was perm shack city.. They are driving out on it.. only a good solid 10″ of ice, but lots of water on it late this afternoon… Gonna try out west of sunny side tomorrow..

Now just remember, you can’t keep those Walleyes that are 14-18″… and only one over 18″
I wonder how many more regulations they can get on one species on one lake.. Maybe I shouldn’t wonder, cause I don’t think I want to know…
