Caught a 30″ eye up on LOW last spring and when we pulled our boat and started talking to the DNR they said we should have kept the fish. He said when they get that big they are no longer fertile and a walleyebthat size eats an incredible amount of baitfish. Makes sense to me I guess but I sure as heck don’t want to eat a 30″ walleye!

I use the LED strip lights. These are not the rope lights that you often see, these are much brighter. You can get them from besthongkong… or save some money on e bay by searching for 12v led strip. I like these because I can easily hook them up to a vex battery in the house and they last forever. You can zip tie them to the poles in your portable and dont have to worry about ever taking them down, just wire a 12 volt toggle switch and turn em on. You can also keep the wires out of the way by drilling a small hole in the conduit and running the wire through the poles to the battery

The Team Wild shacks are not the same as the regular otters. The team wild shacks are a lighter fabric than the regular otters. Also the square tubing on the regular otter has plastic inserts in the end to allow for very smooth sliding vs aluminum on aluminum in the team wild. Also the sleds are a little lighter on the team wild…although still much heavier and deeper than most other brands. I ended up going with the team wild 2 man last year because I got it for $300. I have been very happy with it but it is not quite the quality of the regular otters. I do however believe that the quality is as good if not better than the regular fish traps and frabils
