I completely agree. It would be more relatable to more people. The challenge would be doing a show that wouldn’t give away a specific spot or small lake that wouldn’t be able to handle a heavy increase in pressure.

Great point! maybe they could create a new contour map to represent the small water they choose and they could keep acres and structure all very similar, but just rearrange things? They could also give a broad description of where they are, such as SW Minnesota? But I agree that it would be challenging and potentially threatening to the water body, good point.

First off I’ll just say keep up the great work with the show! But I agree with lundojam that you could try doing more small water shows. A good portion of us that don’t have the expensive equipment and/or time to visit famous lakes would be able to relate more if you fished the types of lakes that we have available.

I also think it would be cool to see you guys try and fish some of these small waters without any previous experience on them and explain to us along the way how you would go about attacking these new waters. It wouldn’t bother me if you didn’t catch as many fish because we would still be learning a lot. In my opinion a good fishing show isn’t always just about catching lots of fish. That’s why it’s called fishing and not catching right? Thanks guys!

I have found that points to many of the lakes that I fish off by anywhere from 50′ to 100′. The general shape of the piece of structure is generally accurate, but its location seems to be off a bit. It is frustrating, and if I am fishing a new spot, I have learned to build in about an hour of exploration time in order to find the piece of structure that I am looking for. Once I find the break or whatever, I laydown a waypoint so that in the future it is much easier to find what I am looking for.

I think you hit the nail on the head with this one! I have the same issues and yes leaving an hour earlier when fishing new spots is definitely a great idea. 50′ to 100′ on some lakes is no exaggeration either. Hopefully in a few years time it will be spot on. Not as accurate as the lakemaster chips, but with a little more work it does the job just fine.

4 of us are also heading up there bright and early tomorrow morning. Haven’t heard much, but from this fishing report (http://www.outdoornews.com/Minnesota/Fishing-Reports/) it would seem that zippel bay is starting to improve 15-18 in the morning. I think we are going to try out either on Adrians or Wheelers. If those don’t work out, might try some of the reefs out of springsteel (apparently try to avoid the cities of houses out there). But I would check out that report, and also the forum on lake-link.com and hopefully that can give you some info. It’s what we are banking on anyway! Best of luck to you!
