Bleed them ASAP, use a scissors cut their gullet until they squirt blood, after they have bleed out in the livewell put them on ice and then zip and skin the fillet leaving the dark meat and they are great.

I add stabilizer (stabiltz, or Seafoam) run it for about 5 minutes, leave the gas in the tank. Grease the blades, spray the auger proper with WD40 or wipe it with light oil, spray any moving parts with lube and hang it up in and upright position with the tank vent open. At the beginning of each winter I get a new spark plug. so far so good, 5 years and counting. Knock on Wood!

I’m heading down to Lake Pepin, Back channel. Has anyone been fishing off the Rush/Maiden Rock?? Did OK on the Head of the lake pulling cranks until it turned into bumper boats on Sat AM.

How has the fishing been? I was lucky enough to get a 29″ on Sat evening in front of Goose but that was the only fish. I’m not complaining!

I don’t have any suggestions other than to say I run a 1990 Lund that I have neeed to do some floor repair on. I’m not particularly tool gifted but it went good. The Dry rotted floor material seperates easily from the carpet. I traced the original on 1/2 green treated, cut it sanded the edges dull and cleaned the carpet, used indoor outdoor carpet glue and put it back in. I’m in the process of doing my bow deck now. Pretty easy and not even to time consuming.

Great report, I had the same experience in a WI lake week or so ago. Nothing beats late ice, shallow water panfishing.
