    I have both the aluminum spool and plastic spool eagle claw reels. Really no difference between them. I do like the looks of the red aluminum spool. Have the red one on a Thorne Bros. tripwire rod. Make a nice combo.

    Walked out on a little 5 acre pond today. A good 4-5 inches
    of clear ice in the Amery, WI area. No one out on the big lakes yet that I have seen.
