Those that brought this specie of fish into the country should be held accountable. Why weren’t the fish destroy when flooding was about to occur? So the average sportsman who had nothing to do with this has to pay the price along with the average tax payer.

Last week I was patiently waiting to launch at Everts when I had to wait for 45 minutes before I could put the boat in. The group ahead of me broke the axel and could not get it out of the water. It took a number people to lift the trailer and flip the axel in place just to get it out. Mistakes happen and there are issues when everyone is in a hurry. Bottom line. Think, execute and take your time.
You may ask why did we not go to the spot next to it? There was chaos for some reason. Traffic jam.
Everyone wants to get in and out as soon as possible. My recommendation is to help those next to you if you can.

We were there Sat and did not have much luck. Our best results were on 3 way rigs with a plain hook and minnow. We fished from the Y down past the Cannon River outlet in 20-30′ of water. There were a number of boats getting fish but nothing to brag about. Friday, a friend did really well in the same area on black jigs. Heading back down on Saturday – good luck!
