Thanks for the responce guys. Funny but I decided to just bite the bullet and upgrade some of my electronics. Strange how that works eh. Stopped to pick up some misc items and leave with a new Humminbird.

Just went through this with my 2002. The first easy check is fluid. Open the Allen screw towards top of the oil reservoir and add fluid til it comes out the opening. Long story short everyone I talked to said don’t bother rebuilding or try to fix it,not worth it. I wish I would have just took there advice. I put about $50 in parts trying to fix it to no avail. Mine was doing same thing as yours and after trouble shooting I figured there was a bad check valve in the pump so I replaced all the valves and seats but still did not work. In the end I ended up buying a whole new trim assembly. $800 ouch. Wish I had a good answer but I would suggest you do what everyone told me and just bite the bullet.

I think to get a true and accurate response to this question you need to have been on both sides of this discussion, which I have. It makes me laugh when you hear people say money can’t buy happiness. If being financially secure doesn’t give you a kind of security and comfort to do what makes you happy in life than most likely you haven’t struggled to put food on the table or risked loosing everything you have to provide that. So that being said I prefer the route of financial security )

My intention is to wear it on the outside. Might get a little tight on the inside if it went off!

Even the regular #9 Tail dancers I have would be pounding bottom in 9′ water. Maybe he had only 8′ of line out.

Does it really make a difference? Is there really that many people out there that will keep 6 Smallmouths anyway.

Leaving fri for Cancun. Wasn’t planning on fishing this time but I guess all it took was your report to spark my interest. Would probably have to go solo, was the price reasonable? Where did you book the guide out of?

I will be using it for kneeboarding and skiing as well. Plus it keeps the rope up and away from my kicker motor.

And there will be half as many boats, in some cases you may have most of the lake to yourself during the week.

I have one of the originals and I don’t think there were set up to pull behind a sled. Plus in real rough conditions sled and all your gear doesn’t bounce around. Those one man sleds are pretty light so not much to picking it up

Sweet deal Jerad, thanks for posting that. Mine are on the way also, to bad you cant get a kickback for facilitating that for Foodsaver. Looks like everyone on IDO is going to take advantage.
