Mike, we’re staying at my cabin on Wed. night and will fish the far east part of the Rainy TH morning. We’ll be up until Sunday and have a private cabin rented off of Wheeler’s Point Rd. How long are you up?
March 15, 2013 at 7:41 pm #1152457I’ll be there on Sat all day; look for the black boat with the big walleye on it. Jason
March 9, 2013 at 12:28 am #1149965Mike, I have to test out the new Ilink before we head up to the Rainy. Let me know when you can break away and hit Pool 2. Jason

June 2, 2010 at 6:11 pm #876816I guide on Vermilion and the bug hatch is happening now. Check out the mud flats in deep water with a Lindy rig. I’ll be targeting smallies for the next few trips. I’ve got a big black Polar Kraft with Jason’s Fishin Addiction on it and a giant walleye. Feel free to flag me down if you see me.
March 30, 2010 at 1:01 pm #858809Just switched from the Optimas to the Odyssey. The Odyssey contains more lead and holds a charge much longer.
March 29, 2010 at 5:35 pm #858492What have you been up to Mike? Finally getting my physical done today for my application. New boat should be here this week and Bill said he’d come down and help me put in the radio, depth finders…etc. Put the initial site up this week: jasonsfishinaddiction.com let me know what you think.
March 29, 2010 at 2:39 pm #858370It is true that the new rules only affect “guides” and not pleasure craft. I’m not upset with the safety issues but I’m not a fan of more government intervention. I heard the coast guard shut down the mississippi to all boaters until the water receeds, can anyone varify this?
March 20, 2010 at 6:11 pm #855641Can someone give me suggestions on when and where to hit the Rainy? I have a place in Cook, MN and thought I could stay there and run up for the day with the new boat. I’ve never been up there and am clueless!
March 3, 2010 at 6:47 am #848458Brian, please keep me informed. I’ve never fished in a tournament before but this is the year. I’ve purchased a brand new rig but don’t have a partner. How do I get involved?

March 3, 2010 at 6:42 am #848457Jason, I live in the southern metro area and also spend a great deal of time on Lake Vermilion. I’m looking to fish as many tournaments as possible this year but don’t have a partner. What do you suggest?
March 1, 2010 at 12:32 am #847396Did anyone fit your description? I’ve always wanted to fish Erie myself. Perhaps we could team up and help each other out with the expenses.

February 27, 2010 at 3:06 am #846971Have a 19.5 ft Polar Kraft Kodiak with 225 Optimax on order. Put the I Pilot on my Terrova along with Humminbird’s new 998C SI. Went with a fully enclosed bimini top and a Power Pole. Can’t wait
February 3, 2010 at 12:42 am #839061Hey guys, new to the site and looking for help. I’m trying to find someone to fish with for walleyes on the river ASAP. I have a new boat on order but it won’t be ready till April. I live in Farmington and will gladly pay my share. My name is Jason and my cell is 507-460-0393. Hope to hear from someone soon.
June 10, 2009 at 2:15 am #782782I’m from Austin and got a place in Indian Bay last year. I haven’t even seen most of the eastern section yet. Last week was brutal at times with the wind/temp. I did manage about 50 bass but had to fish very shallow and with crappie spinnerbaits/gulp. The big suprise of the trip was the 36″ muskie I got in Oak Narrows. Had my G Loomis walleye rod, small spinnerbait and 8lb line with no leader. Fought her for 10-15 min. took some pics in the water and let her go. You get up there often?
June 10, 2009 at 2:08 am #782777I just bought a place in Indian Bay last year and love it. The lake is 4-5 weeks behind schedule due to the cold water. I was just up there over the weekend and will be back up on Th. I caught about 50 bass over the 3 days but had to scale way down and fish in 3 feet or less. Got my 1st musky (36″) on a crappie spinner bait with 2″ gulp. Took me 10 minutes to bring her in with 8lb test & no leader. The smallies should start moving up on the reefs; look for the boueys.
March 11, 2009 at 9:05 pm #757510I might be open to pulling the boat over on Sunday. Name is Jason and I would be coming from Austin. What time were you thinking and where?
February 16, 2009 at 3:54 am #748868This is my first time on the site. Was wondering when things usually get going on the river. Heading down to Lake Fork, Texas next Sunday. Was down there a month ago and got a 9lb largemouth! It was the only bite I had in 3 days. I’m looking forward to meeting guys who fish the river. I also have a place up on Vermillion and have been learning that Lake as well.
