I have a 2hp 8″ jiffy and a 2hp 8″ strikemaster. Both are from the same year, I think 06 or 07. Same motor. Both run similar but it seems like the strikemaster is geared at half the speed of the jiffy. Takes far longer to drill a bunch of holes. I bought the jiffy because it had metal handles and the on/off switch was mounted on the motor and not the handle. I acquired the strikemaster and haven’t really used it too much because it was so slow.
I am having a problem with my 4×4 as well. I have an 01 but I don’t have the push button on the dash, I have a big shift stick on the floor. Does this require a tccm as well or am I stuck spending $275
Scum frog. I like the ones with the legs because they are a little heavier and easier to cast but the small ones without legs seem to hookup better.

I like my ice armor because I can put on shorts and a t shirt and wear it as rain gear all year if its not too warm out. You definatly need to dress a little warmer for ice fishing. There isnt alot of insulation in the jacket, especially the shoulders.

sounds stupid but is the water pump working? I know a guy that had the same problem, thought it was electrical so he brought it in and it turned out to be a cooling issue, they replaced the pump and it fixed the problem. It was an 85 johnson 25

We have 8 or 9 between 4 locations havent had a problem as long as you can hook up the dish your self. Although we did have a guy come to look at the one at the cabin and he said people do it all the time. I would say that he was probably a private contractor. I wouldnt worry but doing it all yourself will eliminate alot of risk.

I heard that 8 out of the 9 bands that net the lake arent even from Minnesota. Why do we have to pay to manage a lake that Wisconsin chippewa tribes are pillaging. I know walleye are not stocked and dont need to be. If they would not net during the spawn it wouldnt be so harmful but every fish taken accounts for thousands of potential fish to be wasted. MN will never step up to the natives. The only state that doesnt collect any tax from gaming revenue. what a joke. 
I bought some cheap seats from fleet farm and the tie downs snaps broke. I went to the hardware store and bought replacement button snaps. If you buy a piece of nylon strap and put a button on both ends it will look like it was made that way. The buttons are only $5 or so but make sure you buy the kit that has the tool for crimping them on. You cant put them on without it.
