    Hi,
    Thanks for the info.

I might be a bit confused so my apologies in advance.

Does the hubs on your tow vehicle run hot as well?

I should have clarified the 10 degree difference is Celsius, so the front hub(no brakes) is like 93F and the rear hub (with brakes) is 110F. I know the first day I brought it home it was way hotter as I could barely hold my hand on the hub. I don’t feel like my truck hubs get hot and the front hub of the truck would be doing most of the braking.

I’ve bought another heat gun and will run some tests.

Thanks for the comment about the hitch, my driveway is steep and maybe the brake is slightly engaged.

Yes, disc brakes. The rear hubs were running about 10 degrees hotter than the front hubs.

I decided to back off the bearing nut one spot and I’m going to try that on the one side. I’ll see if that makes a difference. Backing off the nut, I’ve got just a slight amount of play but from what I can read, a slight amount of play is better than too tight and generating heat.

Assuming mine started on the day that the dealer gave me, it was roughly a month to get mine. All the best, you’ll love it once you get it.

Still waiting on mine. Ordered in November, possible build in May. The dealer says they want more money over what I signed for cause Lund has raised prices and Mercury is supposed to do so as well – extremely unhappy. Anyone else being told the same thing?

Are you trading in a boat? May be able to renegotiate your trade to help offset the price increase. I ordered mine (alumacraft) last January with a March/April delivery date. I didn’t get mine until October and the dealer honored the deal we made in January but I’m guessing they made up some of the difference when they sold my trade.

I’m not trading in my other boat so that won’t be an option. I realize supply chains are very messed up right now and it is a huge task managing production, pricing, lead times, customer expectations etc. I don’t think anyone would have guessed how much the world would have changed from November till now. That being said, there also has to be some mechanisms to protect customers and it can’t be a take it or leave it approach.

Do you have a signed order showing price and deposit? If you do and the dealer won’t honor it you have 2 options:
    1. Pay extra for your boat and be a p offed customer and
    2. Take dealer to court. If you win you will need a different dealer for service..

Yep agreed that those are likely my only two options. I do have a signed Bill of Sale showing itemized prices and my deposit. While the legal route is likely a possibility it will damage the relationship and cost as much as the price increase. Basically no other options to get a boat though so tough to walk away and prove a point and if I do walk away I’m likely buying a boat at a high price anyway.

Can’t help you with #2. I would think it would fit the big ones though- be crazy stupid from Lund not to.

Thanks KPE -120 days til opener

Thanks for the help! I actually reached out to Nick Linder on YouTube – he did a review on his 1875 Impact XS(he responded super quick which was amazing!). He said the 3600’s stand on the side. Apparently the 2075 Impacts will hold the 3700’s. My guess on the 3600’s is that each drawer will hold 6-7.

I have my 12″ Bird on the dash and my 9″ on the bow. When I’m in back I can see the 12″ fine. I have a 1775 Impact.
Mark makes good points. I agree, wait til you get it. You might find you like bow fishing out of it better decide you can see it just fine. 8-10 times I fish alone and usually from the bow. When I’m in back my trolling motor pedal reaches tot he back and I can control it from back there. When someone else is in the bow it’s a pain to see which way the trolling motor head is pointing so I can steer properly.
I use the sporttraks for rod holders and bought different ones than the Lund brand. THe ones I have are almost like a Ram Head ball mount to tighten – waaaaaay easier otherwise the sporttrak ones would suck.
I can send you a picture and brand of the ones I have if you want.

There is some interesting challenges with what I’m hoping to do. I had thought about using Lithium batteries like I’m doing on my 93sv.

With my Pro Guide, I have always left my 93 in my ice fishing bag which was nice cause the unit was self contained and easy to move. The Impact won’t be as flexible.

I had considered mounting the 93 on the dash and leaving the 12 somewhere near the back.

Probably need to get the boat and spend some time with my butt in the seat to see what works.

Curious when you guys are mounting these graphs to the dash, are you guys putting backing on the underside? I’ve got an Impact on order but I’m not sure how thick that plastic dash is. I assume it is thick enough to hold.

    TIA

    Hey Terry,
Did you ever figure out the answer for #2?
I’ve got the exact same question. My boat is on order and I want to buy some Planos while they are on sale.
    Thanks,
