Thanks guys. Boy I’m going to have to talk to him about that.Looks like he swallowed a sour pill or something. Actually he’s a great guy and a lot of fun to fish with but I don’t know whats up with that look.

June 24, 2004 at 10:20 pm #309940I was having some problems with my foot control on my Power drive also.If you turn over the foot control you will see 3 screws under the variable speed switch. Remove those 3 screws and it will let yo get at the circuit board. The circuit board is held in place by 2 small screws. Remove the circuit board and turn it over and inspect the back side of it for burn type marks. The little nylon parts that touch the switches on the circuit board some time loose some of there strength and don’t hit the switches strong enough.I made a small shim out of that clear hard plastic so many things come in nowadays the same size as the circuit board. Put it UNDER the circuit board and reinstall every thing the way you took it apart. Not sure if this is your problem but I know it made my foot control work like new again. If you see some burn marks on the circuit board I believe costs $58 at my local repair facility here in C.R Ia. Hope this helps
May 18, 2004 at 9:29 pm #305276I know when I prefish I usually do a lot of running. I dont like to stay in one place to long. One thing and I agree with Jeremy I dont like to stick alot of fish.Maybe 1 or 2 at the most then I move on. There has been alot said about how long it takes before a fish will bite after being caught. And as far as I know the jury is still out on that one. But just to be on the safe side I go to another spot. I mainly try and find out a pattern ie what lure etc to use and water conditions etc.

Big buck dropped in Buchanan CountyOctober 5, 2003 at 12:10 pm #277667Hi Dave
I have the same type of knife sharpener.I bought it at a locall sports show a nuber of years ago and I must say I like it.It will sharpen knifes sharp enough to shave the hair on my arms.So if we ever meet on the Miss and you see bald spots on my lower left arm you’ll know what I have been doing One thing I noticed in your pic is that you need to hold the knife more vertical. As you draw the knife down use less and less presure.Use the sharpenning side to start out with and then use the honeing side to finish up.I have used it to sharpen all type of knives from kitchen knifes to my pocket knife and my Buck knife(used to clean deer) and I have been happy with it.I have used all types of sharpeners from stones to cross stick type shapeners.I get asked alot by friends to sharpen thier knifes and they always been happy with the results when I returned them.So sharpen on and good luck.
Danny Jarosh(jardan)October 1, 2003 at 7:37 pm #277143Jon I have done the same thing you have done with your cable also. One thing else I did was run the slack through the coiled pwr crd running up the shaft.Yes you have to be careful with it but it helps hold the slack in place.Nice idea and good pics.

September 24, 2003 at 5:44 pm #258490re I would agree with Jeremy Gremore lake area is a good place to fish. Also just north of the Lakeside bar and grill there are some small jetty’s on the east side that hold Bass.If the owners are sitting outside be sure and ask them if it is ok to fish them.I asked and they said I was one of the few that had ever asked them and they said go right ahead.Heck they even gave me some pointers also. Also if your heading south on the east channel and go up to-wards Greymoore if you stay to your right and fish back by where the barges unload.(I forget the name of the area)It has always been good for me.I hope I have also been of some help.I try and fish that area as much as possible as I have a trailer by Clayton Ia.I will be up there this weekend fishing also.I have a 2000 Tracker Proteam 185 with a merc on the back with no decals except the front and back.Maybe I’ll see you there. And Good luck. P.S There will be a open tourney going out of Lansing this weekend also.
September 17, 2003 at 2:25 pm #276429Hi Folks
Just wanted to say what a nice pic of the river.
Just thought I’d share a pic that I took at our club tourney out of Harpers Ferry I took In the Morning.August 15, 2003 at 4:50 pm #273489Hi basspack and birdman
Thanks for the info it is Greatly Appreciated. I know the pool is down to what I like to call”a normal summer level” I was on pool 11 last weekend and saw a number of BaHa type boats getting towed also saw a person in a smaller stern drive go over something that raised up the whole back end of his boat. After that he seemed to be having some problems.Ok I’ve rambled on long enough Again thanks for the infoAugust 5, 2003 at 7:24 pm #272572Hi Folks
I have 3 free programs that I like to have on my pc.These sites can be accessed from your favorite search engine (google, ect)They are Spybot search and destroy,Ad aware and Panic Ware’s Pop-up Stopper. They protect you from pop-up adds, unsolisated cookies and spyware. They are all free and they are all free from spyware. You can download them right off the internet so you dont have to go out and look for them. Some of them ask for donations, just to help them. But I have found that the free versions work just as well.I hope I have been able to be of some help.
JardanJune 26, 2003 at 4:29 pm #269409Hi BigB
Sorry it took so long to post a reply.Yes I am the jardan you have seen on Iowa Outdoors.I will also be back up north again this wknd fishing on the Miss.June 23, 2003 at 10:14 pm #269186Good Afternoon Folks
Well this is my first Post all though I have been reading posts on this site for awhile.I just wanted to chime in on this Post.Ryan and his partner(Brian),Terry and his two nephew’s were invited by Me to camp/stay where I have a trailer on a permanent site. While they were their they presented themselves in an exemplary manor. They were courteous of other campers and the owner’s of the campgrounds.Too many times there are people we meet that for what ever reason are rude, and or use bad choices for there words. This was Ryan’s first time fishing on the Mississippi, for that matter it was his first time fishing on the Mississippi in a tournament! Now I don’t profess to be a Walleye fisherman so I don’t know what the proper etiquette is for fishing on wingdams are.But I’m sure if the other fisherman would have told him. Ryan would have apologized and would have moved on to another wingdam.Ryan I’m sorry this had to be a bad experience for you on your first fishing trip to the Mississippi.Trust me when I say that there are a lot more good people on the Miss than you could ever count and my past experience’s from boat probs to just talking to the folks fishing or just out on the water has been great.Well enough of my rambling on just wanted to respond to this post and say how I felt after reading it.
