I happen to have this truck and drive it regularly. Never heard anything about this until this thread. I’ll be contacting the dealership, thank you for posting!

I am looking at getting the new Clam Nanook XL this year. Figured the ice show may be the cheapest place to get one, but I have never bought a flip-over there. What kind of savings can I expect? And any advice from someone who has bought a shack there would be appreciated (which vendor, when to go, etc).
April 13, 2019 at 8:57 pm #1850617I had the Cabelas one and the rubber deteriorated after a couple years so I tossed it. I have the Humminbird one now and it’s much better. I’d sell for $20, in New Richmond if you’re interested.
January 23, 2019 at 10:59 am #1828705Just made a batch of venison jerky last night using FF Back Forty Teriyaki mix. I am going to try their Bacon & Maple next. That may go good with the pork.
December 3, 2018 at 2:48 pm #1814734Check out the “Ice Report” app. I have it loaded on my iPhone, not sure if they have it for Android. The app is currently showing a lot of data for the whole state.
October 12, 2018 at 10:06 am #1803224Nothing wrong with buying used. If you do buy new though, they are having their gear up event where you can get 3 extra mags and a range bag for free. I picked up my Mod.2 for around 529$ at Scheels.

September 28, 2018 at 10:46 am #1800216Stillakid2, where did you end up bringing it to? my neighbor brought his to Powers in New Richmond, I usually bring mine to Deers locker.
August 6, 2018 at 9:36 am #1789743I agree with sticker. I have the MS271 Farm Boss 18″, bought 2-3 years ago and it has run flawless. I don’t get near as much use out of it as I’d like but when I need it, its ready. Of course, only run premium gas and I only run Stihl fluids through it.
July 24, 2018 at 9:17 pm #1787413This is good to see. Fished out of a Frabill sidestep last year, but was lacking some quality/attention to detail. Nice to see the windows on the doors and not behind the seat. Looking forward to seeing more information!
July 18, 2018 at 9:52 am #1786306I have been using a product called LA Guard Dog for securing my ATV in the back of my truck. It looks like the picture below. I feel that its more secure than using regular straps since I need to haul with the tailgate down. I usually use a ratchet strap on the front too. Anyone think I would have trouble with this passing as a “legal” way to secure my ATV?

July 17, 2018 at 2:28 pm #1786200I got one from sportsman guide you can have for 50 bucks never been used. Never even taken out of the package. Got the rainfly also. I was gonna use it bear hunting but never did.
Thanks rubberduck, I’ll shoot you a PM!
July 17, 2018 at 1:14 pm #1786185Biggill, do you recall which one you had, if they still make it? I was thinking I could just pop it down and roll the tonneau cover over for any trips into town.
July 17, 2018 at 1:13 pm #1786183Thanks everyone for the responses. I certainly have some more to think about now. If I do still go this route, we may need to slim down the packing list a bit. I would miss having the storage space in the bed.
July 17, 2018 at 11:29 am #1786153I thought about a topper too. Unfortunately I have limited storage space to store one of those when not in use.
July 11, 2018 at 9:13 am #1785097These things rock! My brother got me one for Christmas, so far have used it in the boat, in the woods and working in the garage. Holds ice very well.
April 24, 2018 at 3:02 pm #1770209My favorite part about getting way up north is losing cell phone service
April 24, 2018 at 2:58 pm #1770208I had the same problem with the line getting caught inside. Never had that issue a few years back. I will be checking out the VMCs.
April 5, 2018 at 1:58 pm #1765459Good ol’ Dawn, hot water and a brush works for me. Rinses right off with the garden hose. End up doing it every other year or so.
April 4, 2018 at 1:59 pm #1765223One of my favorites as well. Seems to have a video for any gun I’ve ever been interested in learning more about.
March 1, 2018 at 10:33 am #1756234I’ve been running the Duratracs on my half ton for about 2 years now. Really great tire out on the lakes, I’d recommend them.
February 20, 2018 at 8:41 pm #1753956I looked up that camo pattern on that specific bow, and man does it look sweet! I’m also looking forward to hearing how you like it after putting some arrows through it. I hope you’re able to break it in fully this fall!
February 20, 2018 at 8:07 pm #1753946I bought one of these last spring as well. I have noticed a couple of the seams starting to tear. One by the handle on the top and one on the shoulder strap. I think this is due to the fact that I have mine loaded pretty heavily. I may bring it in to Cabelas and see if they’ll swap it for a new one. I would definitely buy it again though, all of the compartments are perfect. My advice would be to keep it loaded light so it’ll last a bit longer.
February 16, 2018 at 7:58 am #1752815I’m another “lucky” Polaris owner. 2008 800 EFI. I wouldn’t trade it for anything else, except a new XP.
January 30, 2018 at 11:14 pm #1748645I sold my Ice35 and used the money for a transducer and Dakota lithium battery to rig up my Helix 7 G2. I would recommend it over the Ice35-55 units hands down. I’d recommend it over any other unit tbh. Dakota lithium battery lasts all day and then some.
January 15, 2018 at 1:13 pm #1744425I fish a couple lakes similar to this around town. Bright jigs like pink and orange seem to do well. May need to size down if they are finicky.
January 10, 2018 at 10:50 am #1742942We’ve been fishing out of the Bro series side-step. The side doors are awesome! Just wish the windows were a little higher and more forward.
