Ok so I filed my claim with St Croix yesterday afternoon, Received my claim number this morning, called them 10 min ago and just got a call back rod should be here in 8 days No charge as it broke after 2 hrs of use.

On my third extreme in 2 years . This rod is not abused but snaps 6″ from the tip each time. Last rod lasted 2 hrs. They are slow but do get back to you. I have an older extreme that I guide with and never a problem. Think there is a problem with the blanks?

I have used the 7-08 on moose as well as a 3006 and a 30-30 All the moose died.

Algae bloom every year ,severity depends on heat water temp ect. Worst bloom is the end of Aug usually. Where it ends up thickest depends on the wind.
Sure doesnt bother the walleye and I have caught musky in it as well.
I have a cabin in the morson area and live in the area so I see it every year.
