Check out progressive. They give you an agreed value on your boat and everything in it. The premium isn’t bad. The only thing I don’t know about is how good the coverage is, I hope I never have to find out.

I have Progressive on the boat adn my gear adn unfortunately had to file a claim. It was probably the most pleasant experience I have had with an insurance company. I actually got more money that I put in a claim for, they added the sales tax on the amount I lost.

I am really happy with them for all my insurance because of that experience.

Try Discount Tire, I bought mine there and was very happy with both price and service.

I use Diehards. They last about 5 years and cost about a hundred bucks, $20 per year seems pretty good to me.

You might try Thorne Brothers in Blaine

Just about any Elite Series pro would do fine for me. Someone like Kim Strickard would be nice as well.

I really like mine, the images at a reasonable speed are incredible, I love to look at the structure on the bottom of the locks on the DI when I lock through. I can also see features on the bottom that I could not with my old unit.

In my opinion you cannot go wrong with one.

I have had good luck with the Strike King Shim-e-sticks and Ochos. That being said I look at my plastics box and there are an awful lot of Yamamoto packages in there, actually an overwhelming majority.

I have been doing pretty well on Pool 1 both above and below St Anthony locks. Look for steep rocky banks and hit them with a crankbait. I have had the best luck with a Rapala DT4 in Baby Bass.

    Good luck.

Camden is a real mess right now, the dock is not in and the ramp is hosed from the high water. You might want to think about Boom Island as an option.

Three Rivers Parks charges a boat trailer parking fee of 5 bucks to use their ramps and parking. It is a user fee for people using the ramps, it has been charged (in one amount or another) as long as I have been launching boats at their parks (the early 1990’s to now)

I have several of the Diawa Excellers in different ratios and really like them. I don’t think you can get a better casting reel for less than $100.

Every time I turn the key to “on” even with the motor at room temp the beeper sounds for maybe 5 seconds then quits.

I get that, too, but then the constant alarm comes on. I dropped it off at the shop today, so we’ll see what the experts say. He thought it sounded like the alarm module.

It was the alarm module on mine as well. It was an easy fix, I would guess the entire repair took me an hour and the parts were around $125 if I remember correctly so it should not be too bad.

    Good Luck

This is normal, it is a self test of the alarm horn to make sure it works, like most of the lights on the dash coming on when you turn the key to on.

I started having an issue with my 1993 Merc 60 hp (2-stroke, 3 cylinder, tiller, oil-injected, power trim).

It started sounding a continuous alarm on plane. It briefly went away, but soon started again. I believe the continuous alarm signals overheating, but the motor is shooting a strong stream, so I believe the impeller is fine. The alarm also sounds continuously when I turn the key on but don’t start the motor, so I believe there is either something wrong with the sensor or the alarm module.

Any ideas how to trouble-shoot the culprit?

Had the same problem on my 75 hp of the same era. If you remove the upper cowling you should be able to find the temp sensor, it is located at the back of the engine between the plugs on mine it may be elsewhere on the head of yours. It is a dime sized sensor that fits into the head. It has one wire attached, if you remove it from the block it will not have a ground path. If you still have your alarm it is probably not the sensor. The module is easy to replace, on mine it is located on the front left side of the motor next to the oil tank.

Mine has to be a table brought over to the colonies in the late 1600’s, I don’t know how old it was when it reached these shores but according to the restoration guy I had do some repairs it was made in the early to mid 1500’s.

JB is still in business in Winthrop, MN. I think I have a catalog around here somewhere but I would imagine they are still available.

I have been very happy with my Diawa Exceller reels, they make a 4.9:1 reel that is great for crankbaits and is reasonably priced around $80.

The mall cannot post a bans guns sign as it is a landlord and the law precludes a landlord prohibiting access to a tenant but tenants within the mall can ban carry. Example Ridgedale Mall cannot post a bans gun sign but Coach Leather within the mall can (by the way this is an actual example).

I hit the trolling motor with one and they replaced it with no problems.

I skipped it for about 35 years from 75 to 2010 and the only difference I really noted (other than more different types of food) was that machinery hill did not have nay machinery any more.

As an adult you can take the online course and do the field day with any other class that has space.

Check the DNR website for the on-line FAS class.

The classroom class geared to kids is required to be a certain number of weeks and a maximum number of hours a day. DNR requirements what can you say.

    Good Luck

I had several fish roll on my money frog on Medicine Lake last weekend, the lilly pads on both the north and south end seem to hold fish I had strikes but could not get them to the boat. I did how ever catch a 4 pounder fishing the docks with a senko.

People have been trying to make this work since the tow boats had sails. Didn’t work then, be a real miracle if it worked now.

There are a number of good easy to understand books on fish keeping, many should be available at the library or a good fish store. If you are in the cities a good option is World of Fish on 66th near cedar in Richfield.

It is an amazing hobby. A good rule of thumb for the number of fish a tank will support is to take the surface area of the tank and keep the total number of inches of fish less that the area.

Actually until last year I used an old strait razor and a shaving mug. Great shave but easy to cut yourself.

The landing is located in French Regional Park on the north end of the lake off of Rockford Rd.

I think there are others but they are not accessible by the public.

I spooled a casting reel with Spiderwire and don’t think I will do it again, I agree with the other poster who made the point it tends to dig into itself. I had more backlashes in one hour with Spiderwire than in a week with Power Pro.

Like the others I think you would be better served by one of the other braids ( I cannot speak to any brand but Power Pro) or a fused line.

I am using Transition Flouro for my jigging setup.

    Good Luck.
