I’d prefer to keep using the other sled in tandem with a new shelter for carrying all the “necessary” junk I can’t seem to live without. The CanvasCraft looks like it’s extremely high quality, especially the Norpac2 models, actually have thinsulate insulation. Thanks for the input guys.

Might be an old wives tale, but supposedly….vinigar reduces the saturated fat in eggs….which is where the cholesterol is generated. Eat your way to health!!!

It might still be in your “live” bait catagory, but dead smelt (frozen) are one of the best pike “baits” available. If frozen properly, will hold together fairly well on a jig and are killers on a tip-up.

I use a private WIS DOT site for most of the weather, but the best public site hands down is Weather Underground….probably more accurate than the DOT site for radar loops….

I’ve got several of the Stearns “Float Coats”, as well as a Mustang. Stearns does make a suit called the Challenger, great suit but pricey, ($350). Can get ’em through West Marine or Defender Marine Supply.

I just use my Bass rod baitcasting reels, but with HotSauce lube in ’em for the colder weather. Best rig yet for jigging Lake Trout, should work for cat’s and bigger pike.

Powder coating is my preferred method, but I also use a few sprayed finishes to enhance the finish. I use a compressor/airbrush with the powder, allows more precise placement of multiple colors. I do mainly spoons and blade baits, but have done a few bass and walley jigs also. The transparent and irridescent colors are pretty effective with powders also, gives ’em a 3D effect if clear coated.

    Couple examples of spoons…..

Nice pootch! Hope it’s just dry skin or allergies,..but…it’s worthwhile getting some blood tests done. My English Setter chewed and lick his hips til they were raw and bleeding, was later discovered to be kidney failure. Vet said it’s a psychological need for dogs to chew themselves when they have internal pain. Again, hope it’s something simple but worth checking out. Good Luck!

Best ones I’ve found to date are the Kinco model 1790 “Warm Grip” thermal gloves. Black knit acrylic with the dipped palm. Waterproof, easy on the fishies and warm. They allow quite a bit of dexterity, very form fitting. They aren’t warm enough for the ATV/Sled ride out to the shack, but they’re fine for the fishing part. At $4.50 a pair, can keep a couple extra pair in the sled if you get your hands wet.

My vote is for the Kodak, not just for the price but for ease of use, specifically with the software. I’ve had Olympus and the photo software is not very intuitive, rather difficult to use. Sony’s are nice but I don’t feel they’re worth the extra bucks they ask for.

YES, actually easier to understand than some of what I’m forced to read written by my employees…..

True, Superior has some chunky ones, best fishing is near the islands. Most fish are pretty lethargic in 35 deg. water, Lakers are just getting comfey…

Nice laker , agree with the comments on “minute per pound”. Caught on Superior off Bayfield?
