    Went fishing on saturday morning. Got to the boat launch at 6:30 am… way later then was planned. I thought i was crazy to go on a windy day but….man there is a bass tourney on that day. Lot of bass boat waiting in line to get unloaded…….

    fish not really biting…was hopping to get a few white bass and walleye but instead..got sheep head. …. wind and wave was pretty bad as it get bass 9 am. Can’t anchor in 1 spot……if i didn’t take kid with me i would have stay a bit longer…..wave and wind was kinda annoying.

    It still look fine….if it still function the way as it is…nothing needed to replace…invest those money into better electronic.

    The idea is to get out before 10 or at the latest at the dock by 11. Having been out there with high wind lately, but i will be half a mile south of the 94 bridge incase the wind did pickup i can be safely back to loading.

    you might be right….if i upgrade in the future to a 140 or 150 suzuki motor….i don’t have to get new control…u say it may or may not work right??

    i think this will cost me in the long run if i want to upgrade to a 150 yammy or ev-rude next couple year…

    for now the boat and motor is run as it should and very quiet at idle hardly notices if you come from a loud 2 stroke……can still get me to where i want to but at a slower speed which i can someway find a way live with it.

    the max rating outboard is 150hp. But yes i do feel like it is very under power….i guess it is a easy trade off for easy wallet on the gas station.

    onestout……this motor is sooo under power for this heavy boat. when load with 4 adult and gear and full tank of gas….it soo under power…get the 25mph. rpm rave up to the 5000 i think.

    got it.

    just bought it for a good price of $6.3k 2001 sportfish 1750 with 2003 johnson efi 70hp 4 stroke.

    I think we are the only boat on the river from 7:45pm to 9 from beanie launch site………glad we made it out before storm…..seem like storm is hitting our way on that night if we wait any longer.

    hi guy..we launch at beanie last night…we went out just to test the hudson river….haven’t boat their for 2 year now….first day back in hudson at 7:45pm to 9 and only manage to get 1 whitebass…..

    site launch should be getting better…should be very good by this sunday unless it super rain the whole weeks-end.
