Ditto on Kyle’s remarks. Had my 1775 Impact XS/115 Pro XS for two months now. I swear my 1625 Rebel Sport tracked and rode better especially in any cross wind. Even have trouble keeping it lined up for the trailer approach. But it is the best laid out and roomiest sub 18 footer on the market for a family plus grandkids. What kind of speeds do you get Kyle?

If you are fine with a Merc outboard, go with Lund because that is your only choice. If you want something else, Etec, Yammy, Honda or Suzuki (my choice) then Alumacraft is the only option.
Not saying Merc is a poor choice, I just prefer to have options and not have something crammed down my throat when I buy something.

If you want the motor of your choice, better hurry up as BRP (evinrude) has just bought Alumacraft. It will probably be as hard to get another brand motor as getting a motor other than a Yamaha on a Skeeter.

I love the jump seats on the WX series.. Hate the jump seat that Lund and others use. A whole bench type jump seat. When it’s up, it blocks the live well and compartments. And when it is down on the smaller boats, it covers the pedestal bases

Any changes to the WX1850? My boat of choice and love it just the way it is. But missed out on the power ball lotto again.

It would be nice if Merc came out with the long rumored 175/200 versions based on the normal aspirated 150 4 cylinder. Yamaha has them based on it’s 4 cylinder 150 so why not Merc? Unless they are worried that they would put their 4 cylinder Verado 175/200 out to pasture like the normal aspirated 150 did to the Verado 150

I saw the Solera at the Mpls. Boat Show this weekend – very impressed!

For those of you who saw it also, was there anything you didn’t like about it?

    Thanks.

Only thing I did not like was the height on the trailer given at 87 inches. Have the standard 7 foot high door. Take away half an inch for molding and I have 83 1/2 inches of clearance so I would be SOL. All my boats have been garage kept and I am not about to change. Too many thefts going around. On the other hand, a same sized Lund 189 GL, even a couple of inches wider but lighter, is listed at 82 1/2 inches on trailer and rated for 200 verses 175
