    Had a chance to check out a vex. today on the lake some guy had….Not sure what model it was,but it was noisey..Even a deaf man like myself could hear it..lol looked to be a nice set up and it showed the jig as well…

    thanks for all the info….It just seems to me there is a lot of negative things with the marcom units.Maybe not,but it looks that way…I kknow any one of them can break down..But the service is the next important thing..How is the Vex service ?

    I wasn’t aware you could have the trans. at the top of the hole and no get a lot of interference off the ice…Do you mean have it in the center of the hole? How do you keep it there ?

    found them in 6 foot of water…caught 23 in no time

    started in deep water today and worked back to the shallows..No bites in the deep water..Got back into approx. 8 foot and caught only 3 gills ? starting to wonder if maybe some type of hatch is going on and they just aint hungry?

    thanks for the replies…I will be sure to check it out…In the mean time I will continue to use my humminbird 165 pirhanna……But I do think I want to get a flaasher for next year..

    not sure what you mean ,by a load to carry? I is pretty light weight…..I appreciate all your replies..I am gonna take it out and try it…I just thought maybe some others have used one for ice fishing…

    I use the 5 inch hole almost all the time,unless I haul the power auger out…..
