    Hey Guys,

    We are going to make the trip this time. Heading up on Thursday… planning on fishing all day Friday, Sat, Sunday, and Monday morning. Any updates on how the smallmouth bite has been this week, current water temps, depths catching smallmouth, etc. is greatly appreciated!

    Sorry for the slow response…. Unfortunately, we didn’t make the trip. I was feeling a bit under the weather and we decided to not attempt to make the journey.
    We are hoping to make another attempt on Oct. 17-21st. Hopefully, the weather will cooperate and we can hit things just about right by then.

    Did you happen to get a weight on her?

    A 22″+ smallmouth is rare anywhere in my opinion.

    Hey Guys,
    I really appreciate everyones insight and suggestions. Unfortunately, I was unable to make the trip to Mille Lacs this weekend. I have scheduled some time off work for the first weekend in October. Planning on heading up the morning of Thursday, Oct. 3rd fishing thru Monday the 7th. I will certainly let you know how it goes once we are able to make the trip.

    Thanks for all the insight guys!….. I have a BassCat Caracal. It does a very good job of handling rougher water for a bass boat (just under 20ft in length). Not sure my wife is going to enjoy fishing a lot of wave action. She loves to smallmouth fish but doesn’t care much for the rough seas.
