That’s what I thought, just heard multiple people say otherwise.

Honest question since I’ve heard it multiple times, but what makes the storage in the MX 1825 greater than the WX 1910? The MX was never really an option for me so I didn’t crawl around in them much. But looking at the pics the storage is all in the same spots and knowing that the WX has a larger bow those storage areas should be bigger (and they’re HUGE).

I also have a 1910 and don’t have a lot to add other than what Mike said. But the addition of the jump seats is a big deal for the 1910. These sized boats don’t have a huge cockpit and the jump seats allows you to have 4 people in the boat and no extra seats. It helps a bunch in that regard. The 1910 will be a much more capable big water boat.

I’ve not ridden in an 1825 but have a 2025 so can’t really compare the 2 for ride. But the 1825 just kinda seems small. I primarily cast so the front deck is too small for my liking, the 1910 seems much bigger.

One has 7 color, the other 9. Knowing this, they were not used as I used the 3 and 5 color reels. The prices above are good with me.

Let me check when I get home to see how many colors they have first. I’d do $50 on the non core ones, $60 for the other 2 depending on how much they have on. Add $10 for shipping.

Edit: Yes, they would be in great shape. If they were used, it was one trip. I have like 6 reels with core and only used 2 of them once, not sure which 2 they were.

I have 4 Accudepths. If interested in those, let me know. A couple already have leadcore on them. Not sure how many colors they have, but I can check if you want.

In our climate and the amount of road salt they put down I don’t care what dodge has under the hood or suspension- I wouldn’t touch one just for that reason.

That’s been an issue and was the reason I didn’t consider them when I bought my F150. I thought they’d fixed that problem. Guess that’s not the case. Good to know.

I have a ’12 SCrew FX4 with 3.73 rear end. Just over 80k on it now. I think the main difference is noted here, the 3.5 will out accelerate the 5.0 but that’s about the only difference. Up until I changed my tires I would get better MPGs than most reported with their Eco’s but since I have the new tires (Michelin LTX ms/2) I’ve lost about 10-15%. Don’t ask why, those tires are supposed to be good for mileage. Been a great truck, never lacked power towing the boat or otherwise. Personally, I’d only consider a V8, but that’s just me. Lot of happy ‘Boost owners out there.

Also, if I were to buy a new truck today, I’d seriously look at the Rams. The self leveling air suspension would be nice to have not to mention the more powerful Hemi (over the 5.0).

The wide gunnels definitely have advantages. Like somewhere to set your beer. ) They also make a nice platform to mount riggers, rod holders, etc.

While maxing out the HP is important in most situations, I think these 17′ Alumacrafts are different. MOST 17′ boats are only rated for 115 so they perform adequate with a 115. HOWEVER, they’re a different animal with the 150 and is a big selling point for these models over the competition. The 115s will do just fine on these boats, but the 150 will do it better.

Personally there are 2 main aluminum boats I’d look at, Lund and Alumacraft. I’m not sold on the welded boats. G3 is another I’d look into, but they weren’t too popular back when I started researching boats. Starcraft as well, just not many dealers near me.

My brother is looking at these same boats. IMO, the Edge is overpriced for a fishing boat. Lots of unnecessary (IMO only) bells and whistles. If you’re going to use it primarily for fishing, I’d lean towards the Competitor. It’ll save you some money over the Edge, is better suited for fishing and will still handle play time well. The Edge does have the flip up seats which are nice, was a requirement for me, but I think you can put a flip up bench on the Competitor.

For example, my first real boat was a Reata, while it was a great boat, I spent 80%+ of my time fishing and felt slightly limited in that dept. It was great for the play days, but always left me wanting more fishing. I now have a Skeeter 1910 and while it’s not set up to play as well, I feel like it does as good a job as the Reata did and it fishes MUCH better.

What happens if you don’t use a stabilizer? I have always just used the locking collar to prevent it from deploying.

It’s not to prevent it from deploying so much as protecting the head from bouncing on the road or in rough seas and becoming damaged.

Nice! I think that’s the same color scheme as mine. Or very close to it at least.

I would de-bone it right away and I then store it in my garage fridge in meat bins. Coolers work well too, but the fridge works best for me.

Nice rig! I was looking long and hard at a Dominator, they’re nice boats. You should be able to get 40 out of that. Looks like an aluminum prop, maybe a SS prop will get you there.

My wife will be going out with me a lot and she gets cold real easy. I thought the full would keep her warmer and it sounds like it’s worth the cash. Keeping her happier when spending this kind of money is always a smart thing to do.

That’s your answer. My wife LOVES the W/S and she only goes out in the summer.

Was there yesterday. Actually more fun being there than I expected. Parked right behind the 15th green and watched 3 groups come in. We were right in line with where their approach shots and saw Jordan stick one about 4′ then Snedecker hit the stick on the fly. Couple really, really great shots there. Also, Reed hit one that looked like it was going into the grandstand to my left only to draw about 100′ and end up just past the pin. I was amazed at how far that ball moved. Like the commercial, “these guys are good.” Then the Euro group game through after those two groups and were underwhelming. Good sign for the weekend! I will be back out there Saturday.

Hey Michael, is that other type of seat a bit taller? The bike style seat is a bit short for my liking.

That’s a bit disappointing nothing is being changed except color…..

I think it just means they’re already doing it right. Only think I would change on my 1910 would be to add the side panels like the bigger WX’s.

The 1910’s intrigue me…. I was really hoping that they made the front deck wider. Its pretty narrow up there. Also, make it so you can add casting seats to the read deck.

I feel like it might be the widest of the Skeeter line, MX included. One of the reasons I liked the boat so much. The rear casting deck deal is a minor annoyance. SBC can add a couple for you if you want. I will have them do that to mine. Mike Winther had them do it to his, maybe he can chime in if he likes how it’s set up after he’s had them for a year.
