Absolutely an underrated fish. Pretty easy to find, attacks the bait like a lake trout, fights great and is awesome in the smoker.

I’m no expert, but if I were you I’d go to Minnetonka, endless opportunities on that lake.

I like baling wire then a layer of duct tape and a little crazy glue. Just a little crazy glue goes a long way. It takes a little effort to get the reels off, but when you do you get to go buy a new rod.

I don’t understand why some of you are using this platform to bash kids for being transgender. Why do you care? They are fellow citizens of this great country and have the same rights as you. Let them be who they want to be. Simple as that.

I’ve only been able to pull in one fish so far. 26″ Waldo. It was quite the surprise. Handled the fish fine. It’s a 36″ length. I’m still trying to figure out. I think I’ve missed 3 other bites with it fishing bluegills.

Chasing Tullibee on the north end today. Hopefully I’ll have to fire up the smoker tomorrow.

If I’m keeping fish I really like bringing a cooler with ice. I bleed my fish right in the cooler. Keeps blood of the lake ice. The fish don’t freeze. I saw this years ago on an episode of infisherman. Stange was in Ontario catching whitefish. He talked about how he bleeds the fish and puts them on ice in the cooler. He said the fish don’t freeze. Tried it out and Sure enough fish didn’t freeze.

My recon went blue screen again in the cold. I’ll have to go get it fixed.

Sleeping in a hub is great with a good sleeping bag, cot and pad. No heater when sleeping.

I turned my recon off and set it in the bottom of my house where it was cold. Went to turn it on a while later and it went to blue screen. No matter how many time I turned it off and back on it was blue screen. I brought it home and warmed it up and then turned it on. It worked fine, but showed a flashing low battery. Charged it back up and it works fine. I’ll see if it happens again, but I think I just drained the battery and that was all the power it could muster up.

I’ll be fishing Mille Lacs tomorrow night in the otter cabin. We’ll be walking out too.

Those are some impressive numbers! Sure makes my four years with my wife look amateur. I couldn’t have asked for a better partner to share my life with.

Any advice for a young man on how to keep his wife happy for all those years?

Last three days I have seen cars and one small SUV on Eagle lake in Maple Grove. I couldn’t believe it. Crazy people.

From the ages of 7-21 my dad would take me out there goose hunting. During mid day when the birds weren’t flying we would go fish down by the blue bridge in Milan. There is and access and a little bait shop right there. We had quite a bit of success just fishing from shore. Not sure what the ice is like there in the winter, but should be worth checking out.

My guess it’s a marketing thing. I bought a resort xth hub from Marine General for $398 and Scheels had it for $499 at that time. I have an otter cabin and the resort is a great addition.

I picked up a beaver dam noodle for the Mrs last year and for the price it’s been a great rod.

I will gladly say hi to anyone that stands against white supremacy and evil. Heck, I might buy them some shad raps. Especially if they’re the right price.
