I am very thankful to all that donated and attended this event. Without you guys this would never be possible. I would like to drop a thank you to the Cottage Grove Lions Club, and the Soldiers of the MN National Guard recruiting center for their monetary donations. The Vets camp for letting us host the tournement. Our co worker Sarah for the snacks and waters. Jake and Nikki for coming out and donating Amsoil hats and oil as a thank you to the boaters. I dont want to ramble on just want to give some credit to the folks that made this event great. Lastly to Shane. Thank you for letting me team up with you on this, It was a honor!

    Thanks

    Will

I had the banjo minnow as a child. I liked it but I did not know any better. It produced fish so that is good enough for me.

I gutted a sharpie. Went to local hardware store and bought a bunch of little o-rings. I put all the o-rings on the sharpie. Put the worm in the sharpie and slide the o-ring on the worm. Works very well. Many more fish on one worm.

Just throwing it out there, but try the Trip swap portion of this page. A lot of time people are always looking for someone to jump in their boat and split cost. I know this is a little off your topic but, I know there are a lot of great anglers on this page and getting out with someone that knows the river on a boat before you pick up your own I think is very important.

I have seen some people referance FTR wing dam 101… Where can this be found? As far as someone heading to the river with me next saturday will probably be the next chance I have to get out if anyone is willing to show me the ropes.

went out tuesday morning. It was the best smallmouth trip i have had on the river yet. Nothing huge 2 over 15′ but about 50 around 12-14″ even had a nice pike and 2 walleye. one walleye measured 21″ witch I hear is pretty good for the croix the other was 16″. started the day throwing wackey rigs but had most of the success on just a jig and 3″ grub. Most fish caught in 15-17 FOW. Did will from 0600 until we got off the water at 1200.
