I’m very interested in underwater spearfishing. I have a co-worker that does it (mostly in salt water) and it sounds awesome. I don’t understand the hatred for it that some people have. Seems like it takes a lot more skill and effort than normal fishing, and if you’re going to keep and eat a walleye anyways what difference does it make how you get it?
It is legal in some bodies of water here in ND (Sak, Devils, etc.), so definitely wanting to try it. Some species are off limits like muskie, smallmouth bass, paddlefish. I’ve heard smallmouth are not shy at all and come right up to you. So I guess I can see why you can’t target them.

RE: TP shortage. I installed a bidet a few years ago and man is that a game changer. Can’t believe I lived this long without one. Essentially the equivalent to taking a shower after a #2. Plus its cheaper as I buy a fraction of the TP I used to and its better for your septic system.

If you think about it, is there anywhere else on your body that if you got sh*t on it, you’d just smear it with some paper until its not streaky anymore and call it good?

    Agree! Game changer!!

The question now is, do his 4,256 hits override his arrogance/jackass-ery? His career stats can’t be ignored.

I haven’t heard anything, but will look out for it. Sounds interesting. We’ve ran marcum flashers for over 10 years now (LX-3, LX-5, and LX-7) and they’ve worked flawlessly.

If they are making 360/live sonar, sounds like it could be a last ditch effort to stay relevant. I’m rooting for them!

Not sure if all insurance providers do this, but I was able to only get accident/injury insurance. Going that route was a lot cheaper (like $13/month) for our 3yr old border collie. Adding illness coverage to the plan would basically triple the premium. She’s super athletic and energetic, and she plays hard, so we figured she’s far more likely to sprain or tear something than to get cancer/disease at this point.

Here’s a short list of the sins of the ownership/front office the past 12 months.

    1. Announcing payroll cut weeks after winning their first playoff series in 20 years.
    2. Losing the TV contract due to being in bed with a sketchy broadcasting company.
    3. Doing nothing at the trade deadline when the team was surprisingly rolling well.
    4. Choking in the second half.

Nothing better for the bullpen that is gassed from Rocco’s usage to keep blowing leads when the pressure is mounting. Hopefully this signals a clean house strategy. But I am with everyone else, if the Pohlad’s won’t spend money it does not matter. This team was ready to be dominant, all it needed was a couple free agent aquisitions and we would not be in this situation. Think about that the next time you think about buying a ticket to watch this. I love baseball , but I will not spend a dime for the Pohlads.

I’m not going to defend anyone, but just remember that Cleveland has a lower payroll than the twins. Money isn’t the only issue.
We need to completely clean house. Get rid of Rocco, Falvey, Levine, everyone. Something needs to change.

I hope they lose out. Fire Rocco. Unfortunately can’t fire the pohlads.

    I’m with you. Clean house

I had to do this with my grandpa’s boat last year. He died in 2011 and the boat hadn’t been registered since then. I gave the DNR registration folks a call and they were actually very helpful.

    https://www.dnr.state.mn.us/licenses/watercraft/index.html

If it’s not titled, go to the drop down for Minnesota Registered Non-Titled boat. It says you need Bill of sale from an owner listing the year, make, Hull ID Number (HIN) of the watercraft, sellers printed name and signature. Universal registration form completed and signed.
This is what I did and got it all squared away pretty easily.

Don’t assume. A trailer is like a chain, only as strong as its weakest link. A trailer can’t be made to handle more weight just by adding a second axle. And in many cases these days a two axle trailer is used by dealers even under relatively light boats for reasons of balance not weight capacity because of today’s small or lighter tow vehicles.

Also, an aluminum boat of that size is not necessarily lighter than fiberglass.

Everything about those stamped brackets indicates to me that the trailer could be significantly undersized. The only way to KNOW is to do the math.

I believe the boat to be a max of 2,900 lbs (wet/loaded) and the trailer has 4,000lb capacity.

I had to modify a trailer to fit my current boat – 2020 Alumacraft Trophy – and used these. They’re super robust. Much thicker than I anticipated and super easy to install.

    Link/picture?

Thanks for the replies. It is a shorelandr trailer, but haven’t looked up the model yet (it’s my dad’s boat and at his house). The trailer is double axel, so I would assume it could handle a 20ft aluminum boat just fine. The boat is new from last winter and we have only used the boat a handful of times this year. We have also not been aggressive with the power loading.
We may follow up with the dealer and/or trailer vendor.

Quite the progression for a young man born in 2020.

Wow! That is quite the progression for anyone, let alone a 4-year-old! lol

Think this will get some more attention with the news today? Or is that too much trust in the media?

Aaron is a wizard when it comes to editing.

What is Aaron arguing with his editing and inclusion of these pro fishermen? I don’t follow it.

FWIW, Humminbird is currently running a $500 rebate on these units. Meaning you can get a new Helix 9 MSI+ G4N CHO for $800.

On the other hand, what if they took him out before he shot and found out it was a 16 yr old w/a toy gun ? I’m glad I don’t have their job.

    For sure.

Wouldn’t have had to make that call if the building 150 yards from the stage would have been secured. Someone failed big time.

An active shooter armed with an AR-15 that’s set up only 164 yards from the target is certainly the responsibility of law enforcement on site. Most of the deer hunting shots I take are further than that for crying out loud. It’s completely ridiculous that anyone could set up that close and even attempt to take out a high profile target. Someone should and will be held accountable.

On the radio they said a second spectator that was injured yesterday
has died from their wounds this morning.

All sitting/ex presidents and First Ladies receive secret service protection for life.

Agreed. People should be fired for such a huge security failure. Reports are saying that the shooter was being watched by police and secret service and seemingly in the site of the sniper that immediately shot him. At 160 yards any somewhat decent scope (let alone a secret service sniper scope!) could very easily make out someone prone and holding a rifle.

You’ve been doing this trip for a while now so are pretty familiar with the lake. Are you still nervous of wrecking your prop/lower unit? I’d be real skittish on a new unmapped rocky lake like this. How do/did you go about learning it, just taking it slow?

Devils Lake is the shore fishing capital. Shore fish around the bridges in the fall.

I just came back from Devils lake Wednesday. It was not good. Tough bite all around. Bobbers were the best in the evening. And no one technique stood out. We pulled spinners. Threw cranks and corked.
Have some guide contacts and it wasn’t much better for them. One day 4 guide boats had 10 fish between them.
No idea why but it was the worst bite by far in all the trips I’ve made up there. We fished all over. Casino, grahams island, pelican slough, and Minnewaukan. Didn’t matter.
    Good luck.

Yikes. Was it a case where you were marking them and couldn’t get them to bite? Or did you have a tough time locating them as well?
