Wouldn’t live without having my Xi5 tied to my lowrance… The go-to waypoint function is priceless… And my bowmountlift of course….

I made the same change to my WX2190. Its been a while since I did it so I dont remember the exact details, but the existing Minn Kota mounting bracket works with slight mods. I believe I had to drill out the holes where the Xi5 bolts to the mounting plate just slightly to get the bolts to line up. The sliding aspect of the bracket no longer works like it does with the Terrova due to the reason that you mentioned. It works fine with it left in the extended position. I think the only other thing I did was drill and tap a hole on the back side of the bracket and put a bolt in it to keep it from rattling. My cover fits fine still. The motor does stick out a bit so there is the risk of hitting something if you are not careful.
I think this is a better option than removing the Minn Kota bracket and drilling new holes in your boat for the Xi5 bracket. Feel free to PM me if you have questions.

Hey Phil here’s a pic of a normal set up that we would rig on a mx2040. This boat has two hummingbird thru hulls and one lowrance thru hull.

Bryan – Any chance you would be willing to share a similar pic showing where you normally place the Lowrance LSS transducer on a WX2190?

I’ve shared pics of my top on other threads. It is not a bimini top but it provides great sun protection in the summer and allows me to put sides up all around for the cold night fall/winter fishing that I do. I leave it on all the time, except if I’m fishing a tourney and there are high winds in the forecast.

It’s a bit more than a bimini cover but I had this custom top made for my WX2190.

Got my new 2015 WX2190 a couple months ago. Lovin it!!!

Checkout the custom “t-top” I had made for my WX2190. I also had full canvas enclosure curtains made for those cold fall/winter night fishing outings…

Yes, the Ulterra looks like a great motor. They announced it about a week before I started trying to sell these. For those people that don’t want to sell their Terrova and buy a Ulterra, the BowMountLift will provide similar functionality with a simple add on component.

I’ve had the WX2190 now for about 2 months and I primarily fish the mighty Columbia for walleye. All I can say is the boat is simply amazing! Handles the big waves when the wind picks up, tracks great in the wind, plenty of room with the open cockpit layout, fast, handles like a sports car. Love it!

I just purchased a brand new Skeeter WX2190 and although my dealer is only ~3hrs away I still didn’t want to hassle with the little issues. I’m sure others have their versions, but I created the attached checklist. You can adapt to any boat you buy. I provided it to the dealer in advance, but unfortunately I think he ignored it as there were several items that weren’t correct/done when I arrived. As others have said, dont skimp on the time you allow for this. I made the mistake and rushed a bit because I was going on a fishing trip and found items after I left the dealer. Absolutely love the boat now that I have it and it is all setup to my liking!!!
