If your lookin to just get into the game cheap I would recommend two for right now. A Ultra light combo or a flimsy Light action combo is a great set up for panfish, no more than 3lb test is ideal. In my experience I’ve never had too big of a pike or bass for a fair priced Medium action combo with 6lb-10lb line depending on personal preferance. And remember playing the fish is absolutely key in winter. Honetly I use my UL for everything. Including my largest pike 16lbs on 2lb test. Don’t spend tons of money right away, 100 bucks should get you both those rods and a healthy dose of beer for when fishing is slow

Ecactly how I do in mine, since i have no seats. I didn’t know his seat set up tho, so I gave every option I’ve seen work well

yeah they say that TUC noodle is real great…. I used my brothers once and no way did that 80+ dollar rod out do my good ol shakespeare cajun ice! seriously the cajun is the flimsiest most wimpy 25″ UL I HAVE EVER SEEN! and yet from a 3″ perch to a 16lb pike it made no difference! cant break it! never use anything else, plus its like $15

Hey I literally just joined the forum but would like to say that I purposley bought the version of my shack w/o a bench seat for this reason. All i simply do is keep a bag in the car with a very warm sleeping bag and a few quilts. Throw the quilts down as insulators and cusion and crawl in the bag w/ all your gear! never been cold or uncomfortable! For a house like yours… 1) if the seats come out just get a sheet of plywood and 2×4’s to make a removable platform, or 2) redesign the backrests to fold back and put platform over that (same construction tho), or 3) just build the platform to go over the top of normally folded chairs. I have helped make all three and all work very well! PS higher=much MUCH warmer & easier.
