get yourself and exmark. commercial duty, quick, durable.

If you can find yourself one that you can stand behind and get the trolley to ride on – it’s the fastest cutting machine out there.

Whittsend and I have been trading emails back and forth since Wednesday. Turns out, the company I work for makes LED strip lighting for the furniture industry. We happened to have some slightly lighter blue, 5050 LED waterproof strips sitting around.

Mounted them UNDER the gunnels on my boat. Cut a board at a 45degree angle to tilt the strips towards the center of the boat.

Looks pretty nice, isn’t crazy bright. I will be adding a dimmer to them as well.

Had I had to purchase the lights, I would have gone with white. Using the blue messes with the colors in the boat – so you may think you are tying on chartreuse, when in reality you grabbed purple.

Was a very easy project though, and should be useful for a long time to come.

    enjoy!

I find myself in the boat occasionally with Whittsend, so we’re in this together.

This weekend, my boat gets rigged. No dimmer controller yet, but it’s on the way. I will post pictures.

I’ve had a Windows 7.5 phone for the last 2 years and it is awesome. I have used all operating systems except Apple.

It is the simplest smart phone i have ever seen. I tell people that if I were to design a phone, and make it do everything i want it to do, how i want it to do it, and when i want it to do it – – – – the Windows phone would be it.

Only drawback – limited number of apps are available. This is good though, as all the apps have to pass testing with Windows before they end up in the app store. no bugs!

I have the 597 you are talking about, nice rig.. However – if I were doing it again – i’d go for the 598 version at least. The 597 is less money, but you won’t be able to really hook it into anything later on down the road without the interlink box.

my two cents – again – great little unit.

    Hi All,

Got the itch to go get familiar with the new boat today. Put in at the landing by the S bridge. Launch was easier than i expected.

Went up river just about to Mallards – open water the whole way. Large sheets of ice mysteriously anchored in odd places.

Met one guy who had his waders on pushing ice off from his shoreline – said the sheets were about 8-10″ thick yet.

Was eery out there today, ice sheets in random places, but air temps of 80degrees.

South of the S bridge water seemed open for a while, prob halfway to the channel leading to the park. Wouldn’t trust that side though – was still all iced about 200yds out from shore on both sides.

The boat ran great, my buddy was floored by what Ipilot can do for you in regards to boat control. Spotlock is something that will be a game changer for me.

Water temps were between 34.5 and 35.6 depending on where we were. A bit too cold yet. Might be warmer up north by Jim Falls, but in and around the golf course / s bridge that was the temps.

    Taker easy guys,
    berg
