Yup I saw that on the website, that’s why I asked on here to see if anyone bought 2 or something and would be interested in selling one

I run a 42″ MH Fenwick Elite Tech, I like it just sucks trying to figure out where to put that one long rod in my otter tub and hauling it across the lake without it breaking. I would like to try out the shorter 36″ MH, I think that would be a good rod as well.

I have an older Otter Wild 3 bench seat (Orange and Black) I am curious if the XT650 Lodge canvas will fit over that? I would think it would because it’s the wild series tub not the slimmer pro tub. Has anyone tried this? Any input would be appreciated.

I have the Lacrosse Alphaburly Pro 1600 gram. I really like them, if I were to buy them again I would definetly consider going up a size. I wear a size 10 and they fit great but if your going to wear 2 pairs of socks or throw foot warmers in that extra room would be great. When moving around they are SUPER WARM. Definetly want a pair of moisture wicking socks on.

I’ve had the Muck Wetland series, they were good boots but not for winter use they just weren’t warm enough for long sits in the treestand IMO. If you are walking a lot their alright. The neoprene got torn up pretty bad after a couple seasons going through brush. I own a pair of Lacrosse Alphaburly Pro 1600 gram rubber boots, I got them last October and used them during rifle season, muzzleloader and all winter ice fishing. They held up great and >>WARM<< I think if I were to buy another pair again I might consider going up a full size larger. I’m a size 10 and there was room for a pair of thicker socks in them. I just think a little more room will help my feet breath better cause they sweat pretty bad and easier to get off.

Bought a snowmobile and a digger ice auger mount, makes fishing way more enjoyable for myself being able to run and gun in a snap with the otter cottage and digger ice auger mount. Super slick in my opinion.

Its a mess all over the lake…slush, water on roads, warm temps and the big storm coming just asking for trouble in my opinion wheel houses just need to stay home. Some resorts are shutting down for the season.

There is so much snow on the lake which is causing a lot of slush. Off roading is not recommended, you will get stuck. Typically Arneson’s stays pretty close, once in a while they will have houses set up at 16 mile reef but fishing hasn’t been too hot out there and the slush is horrible. This last storm we had their were also quite a few people that got stranded on the lake, the drifting was absolutely horrendous. They did manage to get off the lake though the next day.

I typically run bait halfway in the water column from 5 to 10 feet and 3 to 5 feet off bottom when fishing 10 feet plus and I feel you shouldn’t have to go over 18 feet

It’s just as good as the East side in my opinion. You won’t be disappointed if you get a spot.

The farthest East I ever go is Arnesons but typically I would launch out of Warroad or Springsteel.

Anything gold, glow green, glow red, chartreuse, rippin raps size 4 5 or 6, and plain red hooks with split shots. Tip jigging hooks with minnow heads. Don’t expect a night bite and on that part of the lake mornings are usually pretty hot. Expect to catch a bunch of small ones but don’t be discouraged the big girls will come.

There is Springsteel which is a decent road. Then there is Swift Ditch access which is a good road. The next closest is Dale’s/Old Babblers. I haven’t heard how far out he has his road. He’s been struggling this year with the winds and snow keeping his road open.

I don’t think they’re struggling and it definitely isn’t cheap to maintain and build those roads. I feel they’re being a little greedy, but if it pushes people to other roads they will have less pressure. In return it should help with catching more fish. Also their was talk about them going to $60 a day, now that’s ridiculous! But that’s just my 2 cents. I know a lot of locals up here are very upset about it but their is plenty of options up here to go out of.

WigWams price went up to $40 a day for wheelhouses, I would recommend Adrians road. They’re both almost to Garden if I remember right but WigWams customer service has been pretty pour lately

I wear Lacrosse Alphaburly 1600 gram rubber boots. They’re a very comfy boot and warm. I wear them all the time and they’ve been holding up for me very well.

Personally I would skip the sleeper and just stick to hanging out at the lodge. Not much of a night bite on the big mud puddle anyway.

The Angle is always an awesome place to be. A lot of places on LOW are great to fish late ice but the Angle is just one of those exceptionally great spots to be. With all the different structure not too far away from spot to spot it’s almost hard to not find the fish.

I have an Otter Cottage and I love it. I’m 6’0 215 lbs and I have lots of room in it. The only downfall is you can’t really stand up to stretch but that’s why they have doors to step out and get some air haha. The Otter Cabin you can stand in but its a two man.

Do you have any buyers remorse? Like wish you would’ve bought a stiffer rod with bigger eyes or do you like the action but wish it had bigger eyes?

I run it in my 3 HP Jiffy all the time, money well spent in my opinion. I also like it for the portability haven’t had it spill on me in the bottom of the sleigh traveling around on big Lake of the Woods on sled, unlike with the gas cans that are notorious for tipping over on rough trails.

Everywhere has been letting wheelers and sleds. A couple places are letting out Ford Rangers or small vehicles like that, but with the warm weather approaching, I’m sure it will be changing ice conditions quite a bit. So make sure you call the resorts before venturing out.

The Otter Cabin would be a great choice but if you want something with a little more room you’ll want to step up to the Lodge and that might get a little more heavy to pull.

Flip house all the way if you plan on being mobile. I have the Otter Cottage XT 650 with the bench seat. If you wanted to lighten the load up a little more you could take the bench out and bring a lawn chair or sit on a bucket. I can fish 2 holes in it nice with vex and buddy heater. Very light setup, easy to drag around and WARM! I couldn’t imagine how toasty a person would get in a fully insulated house. I made the mistake of running a Big Buddy in it and wayyyyy to warm. I’m going to be using just the Portable Buddy, not the small one but the one in the middle.
