Just put everything in the truck and I’m set to go. Hopefully this works well since I just started this job 3 weeks ago. My wife is not happy but I need it and she understands my sickness. I hope everyone can get out.

Hope your employer is as understanding as your wife. Only 3 weeks and calling in sick can raise some eyebrows and suspicions with a employer going forward. The old call in on a Friday is usually another red flag employers pay attention too.

But hey good luck and have fun! coffee

Pshhhh… I take off Friday’s to go fishing or hunting all the time. Not a single eyebrow is raised. People who put the work in lots of times receive great opportunities. My boss wants me to treat myself to some fishing to have a good work/life balance.

I’m curious about shallow/backwater areas near Mississippi in SE MN. Anyone been out lately? Guessing not great…but figured it can’t hurt to ask. I would just ask Tom directly, but appears he’s busy checking ice in his glass. Heh, heh.

I have been checking the backwaters of the Mississippi in Southeast Mn and they just got a fresh sheet of ice on that 12F night and that’s it. Everything was open before the snowstorm. If i was to go look right now my guess would be 1/2″ or wide open water with these sunny windy days.

Yes, cause they do not work for most people and environments. I tried them on 3 different lakes and did not help bring fish in whatsoever. I heard some guys had decent success in shallow 8′ of water, but not I.

I checked Lake Byllesby, lake onalaska, and other backwaters up to wabasha and they were all open before the storm. So we lucked out down here in Southeast Minnesota. (:
