Try setting your 35 on your table and set the transducer 2 ft off the floor. Make sure it’s a hard surface. Turn the unit on and see if it reads 9 ft. Also are you hearing it make click sound like normal? How old is this? For kicks try a different battery if you have one. I know you said it’s good but….

Frustrating especially since you’re excited it use a new unit. Hope they fix it for you.
January 31, 2017 at 7:27 pm #1670241That issue is pretty poor. Like I said I loved my lx5 then that happened and they didn’t fix it even with a new motor. That had the most crisp display with sfl.
January 31, 2017 at 6:48 pm #1670229Dtro the things you are describing are exactly why I stopped using the vexilars. 0 gain should be just that nothing. … It should match the display in my eyes. I couldn’t stand the blob display of the jig. It is a very sensitive unit no doubt but they manage the gain setting poorly. Did you run humminbird for a while? How was that display vs vex? Still large marks? Good info. .
January 31, 2017 at 6:08 pm #1670218Ok great good to know. I was thinking of picking one up for my son to use. They look like good unit for the money. All the features you would want.
January 30, 2017 at 9:11 pm #1670001I loved my lx5 but they said it was motor issue. My unit had the bouncing bottom. Got it back and first time out happened again to the point it was unable to be used. Got rid of it. Lx7 has been great so far.
January 1, 2017 at 6:28 pm #1661344Otter xt pro 1200 cabin. Hyfax, hitch, tow bar for the mighty honda 200s to pull. Also the best accessory sportsman caddie. I have big buddy heater. Regular buddy and Mr heater cooker style sun flower. Great house.
December 31, 2016 at 9:53 am #1661096Nap? You load up ice fishing gear drive to the lake and set up to nap? Lol naps are for the deer stand.
December 27, 2016 at 4:40 pm #1660206It is the same unit as pro 4 lite except with a different gear case to handle bigger drills. 38 cc motor. Why not buy another pro 4?
December 25, 2016 at 11:23 pm #1659817I had a lx5 that I loved it did the same thing… They fixed it for me then the next trip out it did it again. Making it unusable to me. I was bummed. Not sure what you should do next. I got the lx7 with zero issues for about 3 years now. That said I really liked the lx5.
December 25, 2016 at 5:42 pm #1659779I can only speak for the Nils which has drilled a ton of holes for me. That k drill looks like a great option too.
December 21, 2016 at 7:46 pm #1658925My good friend races sled dogs and wears the trans alaskans from cabelas when he races. He swears by them. Races long distance races like the John Beargrease in Minnesota here and will be in the Iditarod this coming March. He has done the trial and error with clothing over the years and these are his go to.
December 21, 2016 at 6:10 pm #1658901Instead of muck sports I would try the pros. My buddy really likes them. I use the mickey boots as well since 2001 and never cold feet.
December 21, 2016 at 4:49 pm #1658888seats with a sportsman’s caddy, if running solo you then can take a seat out to save weight and space…Sportsman’s caddy is the greatest accessory otter ever made..
Exactly! That caddy is awesome. And removing a seat is nice.
December 19, 2016 at 7:07 pm #1658336Does that heater run on the same quick disconnect with regulator hose that the big buddy runs on?
December 19, 2016 at 5:28 pm #1658315I considered the same thing this year. I’ve had my mickey boots since 2001. Very warm but a little heavy. Those muck Arctic pro boots might be on my radar next. My black mickeys are no where near done just looking for something lighter for pheasant, whitetail hunting and fishing.
December 19, 2016 at 4:41 pm #1658302Oh very good! How does that new heater vent then? Through wall? Have a pic of that?
December 18, 2016 at 10:48 am #1657983You could call hilltop trailer sales and they could tell you all you need to know. They also have all parts for older popups. I’ve gotten a couple things there for my Starcraft popup. Btw cool build. I would recommend if you can coating the bottom of that frame and plywood with something as the salty roads will be tough on that thin frame. I will say though my dad took a old popup and built a shack on it that was about 15 yrs ago and his is still in good shape. Keep posting the progress!
December 10, 2016 at 11:12 am #1656081I bought one for both myself and my wife. They are great! Best I’ve ever had.
November 28, 2016 at 9:15 pm #1653278You will love it! That’s what Pete Maina told me after I called him to ask what he thought of the unit. He said he used it 95 percent of the time and the pro 4 the other 5. He ran the first demo they came out with. Said he wouldn’t have his face on the commercial if it wasn’t awesome. You got a good deal.
November 28, 2016 at 8:45 pm #1653266I will say the propane has tons of power. You touch the throttle and it’s instant. Mine I bought off of Jiffy ‘ s website as a demo used by prostaff and gone through by factory. Zero issues with it last year. Love the instant start also 2 pulls Max.
November 28, 2016 at 7:50 pm #1653261With a chipper style blade I’d want a decent motor/gear ratio. The strikemaster chipper style augers are just to slow in my opinion. My jiffy has a 38 cc 4 stroke propane plenty of power for the 8″auger on it. Drills well., my Nils has a 1.35 hp but it’s turning a super efficient blade system so a huge motor is pointless.
November 23, 2016 at 7:51 pm #1652322I would look on craigslist for a used power auger. I Enjoy the propane jiffy pro 4 lite I have. Fishing Metro lakes might mean more sand on the lake from vehicle traffic. Due to this your blades may reflect that. A dull chipper blade will still drill. A dull shaver such as a laser or Nils will not. I’ve drilled thousands of holes with a laser and Nils both. The jiffy is a single chipper blade but has a high rpm to drill faster due to the single blade. Hole is clean when done. Check out your options and try one. You aren’t married to it. If your wanting something different sell it and get different one. Good luck
November 21, 2016 at 8:27 pm #1651875I like the gm trucks mostly but those rams look sharp. The 6.4 would be a great motor I think.
November 20, 2016 at 6:53 am #1651530That’s interesting I’ve pulled as many as 2 pulls Max with every use on mine. 2 if motor is cold 1 if warm. Well good luck with the lithium will be nice and quiet at least! I’ll ask around if I know anyone looking for your jiffy
