So sounds like Dubuque up stream, vertical jig, or cast plastic are primary go to’s?

For these days does anyone really know why everyone runs to the dam? Is it better to target seems and inlets to stay away from the crowds? Also does the rap bite start to shut off as it cools off? Thanks for the insight.

I live right next to eagle and there is still a huge chunk of open water in the main bay. Only real area people are trying is that southern tiny bay. Looks like more people out on medicine today. Always fun to chase pike on medicine. We used to do well on those chain of lakes in Brooklyn center for northern. Wonder if they are froze up?

Please remember to buy a good scope if your going out west. The poop scope will be tough to tell in the store because they don’t turn the lights low and throw brush out in front of an object where the good scope really shines. I went with the vortex viper line.

Tikka T3X is a great option. Throw a vortex higher end glass on and your set.

I can respect all of the use of the lake being it is a public right to use. The only thing frustrating is when others don’t respect distance or noise (no one wants to hear F bomb this and that). As the years go by all we can hope is that all are respectful.

    Hey Outlander,
If you don’t mind me asking in what ball park does 2 lithium batteries run? I have 2 27 series for my ulterra 80lb and don’t feel like I get enough life out of them.

Thank you. I have the ulterra 80lb linked on a trophy 185. Will have to play with it. Think -1 will also be good?

On leech its all about the wind. Find a wind blown shoreline/point/reef and go to work. Presentation varies but minnow should still work.

You may want to consider the Suzuki 9.9 high thrust EFI. Thing is amazing.

Ask the mechanics they will tell you no to Evon rude if they know you well. Had a long conversation last fall with them and they said Yamaha, Suzuki, and Honda are the way to go. Also said for four wheelers go Yamaha or Honda for reliability not Polaris.
