One word of advice if motor is under warranty I would recommend sticking with factory oils.
August 19, 2024 at 4:58 pm #2286176I would bring but a reputable glass shop that does automotive glass, they probably could clean it up and use some sika flex on it.
August 19, 2024 at 1:30 pm #2286132Light cover on fire and buy a new one…
Or wait till evening and spray it with wasp spray, I’ve used a garden hose spray for cover before work’s decent. LolAugust 12, 2024 at 7:36 pm #2285143Another recommendation is put a deck on asap after you land a site. It’s a complete game changer at the camper, cooking, eating and hanging out. Makes the camper feel sooo much bigger.
August 12, 2024 at 2:36 pm #2285115I had one a few years ago and it was great, minimum maintenance, mowing etc. the one thing I noticed was the campground politics. The guy that spent the most at the bar attached to campground got special privileges. Watering grass etc when no else could didn’t like the color of the neighbors shed had them re paint it.. but I would do it again in a heartbeat. Lots of great memories made. Kids could walk across road to beach and kids to play with in the campground.

July 18, 2024 at 10:43 pm #2281604I’d say white, less likely to see water spots. And look nice with maroon and tan.
July 5, 2024 at 10:14 am #2279971Here’s graph of what a typical rainy day sequence solar farm output looks like. The only rainy day was May 14th. Click on it to expand it.
Yup and then it makes the power plants look bad chasing the grid. It’s very messed up and the general public doesn’t understand and the they say nuclear and refuse price per kilowatt is expensive compared to Solar but they don’t factor in the subsidies the “renewables” get. I guess until we start experiencing brown outs it’s just gonna keep heading that direction. Hopefully it’s not too late for the power plants though if that starts happening. Imo
July 4, 2024 at 5:48 pm #2279895Why closures on high levels?
The shoreline is at a fragile level, there’s a quiet a few spots around red wing that the main channel is close to going through the banks into the back waters.
June 29, 2024 at 9:57 pm #2279152Just got back from port Washington 2 weeks ago, did pretty well down there. We fished Kewaunee last July towards the end of July, they did well over there over the fourth last year. Pretty awesome over there!
May 29, 2024 at 6:02 pm #2274878I have a Werner taskmaster aluminum extendable scaffold plank.
I believe it is a 16Ft when extended
Thanks, I have a 8-13’ and also a 16’ by 20” and I tried to buy a new one and they are not readily available right now.
May 28, 2024 at 7:10 am #2274549If it was me I would put on a Yamaha turbo stainless prop, good all around prop and not super expensive. I would figure out what size aluminum you’re currently running and if it performs well with it I would step it down two sizes in stainless. So if you’re currently running a 19p I would go down to a 17p. This is in a turbo application and keeping a similar diameter.
May 25, 2024 at 12:16 pm #2274322Thanks for the clarification. Yup probably mostly municipalities cars.
May 25, 2024 at 8:55 am #2274295Kwik trip to receive federal funding to ad ev charging stations at it stores across the state. Maybe make ev’s more appealing at least in Wisconsin?
23 million, for the 2,300 registered ev’s in Wisconsin. Seems like a good investment.
May 24, 2024 at 10:30 pm #2274265I’ve re powered a boat through the boat center, and my son bought a used boat through them last spring and they went above beyond. They are in my opinion top notch.
May 23, 2024 at 6:59 am #2273903It’s my understanding that Minnesota and Wisconsin are going to have reciprocity again. I thought I read somewhere that it was gonna happen again. Been working in mn and living in Wisconsin for the past 15 years and yes for the most part it’s wash but it’s not and you pay more at the accountants office.
May 13, 2024 at 7:38 am #2272233It was very smoky today. I really don’t know how the smoke can hang that low in the atmosphere but it’s kinda getting old.
Yup the smoke last year was tuff on my allergies. Hopefully not another summer of that.
May 12, 2024 at 9:26 pm #2272214So are we in store for another summer full of smoke? Full smoke out here.
April 16, 2024 at 3:46 pm #2267637Come on now he wears his red flannel shirt to act like he’s “one of the guys”. Good ole tyranny Timmy.
March 28, 2024 at 7:49 am #2263983The momentum of that ship going 8 knots is just shy of 4.3 billion lbs-ft/s
That is one heck of a force hitting that bridge.Right I read something yesterday that insinuated that it was a new bridge it would still be standing.. I guess probably parts of it would be.
March 27, 2024 at 7:43 am #2263726Underground wood framing is about the worst design scenario I have heard of. Especially in our area.
Yup, they had lifespan rating also, don’t remember but I was always like why would you build your house on something that had a lifespan, when concrete is indefinitely.
March 27, 2024 at 7:38 am #2263723I should have asked if they wanted to charge you for a shipped in repair or a walk in? I’d almost guarantee they’d repair or replace it free of charge if you walked into their shop in park falls. The money they want to repair is probably to cover shipping cost.

I guess another question is if it’s not moving anymore is it still a big deal or is it just an eye sore?Considering it went from a 2 inch bow to a 5 inch bow, I’d say it’s a major issue. No way I’d let that go unaddressed.
I’m trying to picture this wood framed basement. There is no cmu walls no block foundation ? Just wood ? That sounds like a disaster in its self. If it’s cmu then they will have to drill through the walls tie back to the soil, pump grout and anchor into it. Then tie in wall plates and put tension on them as they go back. If it’s just wood framing then it’ll all have to be excavated
There’s no footings on these wood basements, basically compacted river rock and the wall sections set on rock and basement floor poured to tie walls in. There was a place in Prescott i believe that used to manufacture and install them. Woodmasters I believe the company name was or is still. I’ve installed a few for a contractor years ago, and was never a believer in them.
Imo 30k to repair is actually reasonable. Hopefully they’re excavating it out and installing a block wall. Or laying one up on the outside of the wood one.March 26, 2024 at 5:22 pm #2263649I’ve been frequenting there retail store in park falls for many years now and they “used” to do a lot of things like sell repaired warranty rods for a discount, A,B rods priced accordingly to what was done, they do not do that anymore because of abuse of it, people re selling as new on eBay,etc. I was thoroughly in impressed last summer as my son and bass league partner warranty multiple rods and upgraded some and the only complaint they said to him was to call a head next time so they could make sure they had all the rods in stock!
March 25, 2024 at 10:06 pm #2263415I forgot! Whatever that name is now…
Just as I was starting to become less of a reclusive river rat in recent years fishing more lakes, Minnesota starts a freshwater garage sale
It’s only a sale if they collect money for it…
