I looked at this when I was rigging my boat 205 Tiller. I’d prefer to not have the tubes but they are better than the single rod tubes for sure.

Don’t quote me but if you pulled the tubes and bent a piece of aluminum to fit and rivet in place. You should get the same usable space.

This is my plan eventually, though I’m taking a break from boat mods for awhile since I completed a full console rebuild and wiring last winter.

If you asking about the switches they have little tabs you have to compress to get them out.

On a side note I completely rewired my 2019 Comp 2015 Tiller with a new switch panel cause the wiring was already failing! My livewell would not turn on multiple occasions. Also, my bilge pumps were wired incorrectly. I have a high & low pump. The low is a auto connected to a flow from the factory. When I hit the bilge switch both came on and when the float triggered both came on! Nothing like always running 1 pump dry!!

https://newwiremarine.com/ is a great place for switches and they do custom ones!

My new console is much better and is perfect for how we fish. It totally opened up the boat. Which was surprising, I wasn’t sure I was going to like it but the with the shut down , I thought what the heck. I’ll try it!

I wired it so when the recirc and aerator are on auto the switch light comes on. Not really important but fun to do LOL

    Custom Panel

Now I know what every wire is connected to! Good by Alumacraft wire birdnest!

    Sorry for the blurry picture!

Yup, I have a 72″ Ulterra. You definitely want that length!!

We fished some big rollers last Sept and still had the prop coming out , rarely but no way it could have held anchor with a 60″ shaft in that situation.

My passengers and dogs were having fun sitting up at the bow getting smashed with waves every once in a while. They were laughing hard! HAHA!

Wow! Your 618T will be awesome with 90HP SHO! I had a 89′ 680T it was only rated for a 65hp and we could get 35mph with 2 people.

Awesome boat, still feel like it’s the best boat I have owned. Should have kept her (

Can’t wait to hear how she runs when your done )

When mine works it is fantastic! I always praise the Ulterra, I don’t get disappointed with the odd error. There is a lot tech in this thing!

I have had issues with stowing and a bad head which was replaced under warranty.

I have some strange behavior now that I am working on with Minnkota. We have had 2 trips where all the IPilot Link functions were not working. I should have made a video because I can not reproduce it in the drive way but MinnKota as assured me that even though my Warranty will expire because this is an on going issue they will work with me.

I have provided them with amp draw videos with a tool that reads amp draw that my buddy has because he is an electrician and MinnKota agreed that the amps look good.

So it is in the warranty center now for the upgraded parts which should solve the stowing issues but if I am being honest I am concerned with the IPilot Link reliably.

If I’m being honest I would sell my 2019 model and get the newest one to get the updated parts but I can not in good conscious sell it to someone before I have these issues corrected.

Awesome boat, thanks for posting the vid!

I was a little surprised to here only 8′ rods on the side storage and 9-10′ at the bow.

Was that just a mistake, should easily fit 12′ rods on the side shouldn’t you?

    Hi Phil,

I don’t have any great pictures of them. Here are 2.
We are very pleased with them so versatile! They serve a great purpose as a vertical rod holder when retying, which helps to keep the line from getting caught on the dogs while were retying!!

It’s great to sit the net in one and keep it off the floor as well.

Grabbing a rod out of these tubes when a fish hits is nothing short of fantastic! They are expensive but well worth the money.

Those number dials, are they to set how much line is out on each rod?

I have added the 72″ Traxtech rails on their Alumacraft brakets and 4 ratcheting rod tubes. We are very happy with them!

I will probably add riggers next year. I will be using the TraxTech rails for that.

Actually, the guys at SBC were awesome to work with. We couldn’t get a deal going at the time but we both tried very hard to get it done!

I would not hesitate to buy a boat from SBC and suspect when the time comes to step into one of these bad boys. I will make the drive from Southern Ontario to Minnesota to do so!

We’ll make a holiday out of it )

    Hi Waxy,

We don’t have any Ontario Warrior dealers. I told the wife as soon as our dollar is stronger , you’d better expect a WX2060 or Warrior v208 in the driveway. HAHAHA!

I think this is one of the nicest colors I have ever seen on a walleye boat! Awesome boat and rigging job! I would give my right leg to be able to own one of these!

Hope you enjoy it for years to come! Thanks for sharing!

Man.. that would be an awesome Erie boat!

This thing would be over 200,000 here in Ontario!! I got a quote for a v208 last year and it was 185,000 before takes and the addons!

Ya, I have ordered from Rapala.com before but from the US.. the Canadian site have low stock on most colors and lines.

These rods were of a last minute retail therapy purchase before our holidays, it takes a min of 2 weeks to get anything into Canada most of the time UGH! It’s even worse now with the border closures.

I usually ship my stuff to cbiusa.com and drive across the border and pick it up. They are fantastic! That’s not an option this year.

    Man! That is fast!!

I have the same weight except for the talon. When ever I can actually launch a boat here I am going to run my Comp 205 Tiller/115hp SHO where it’s at (second hole) record the numbers. Then I’ll raise it and do the same and post it.

    Thanks for the info.

That’s interesting.. man it looks like the motor could just roll (tip) on the bar but looks like it worked )

I’m doing the same thing with my 2019 Comp 205 & VMAX SHO 115hp tiller. It’s in the second hole but looks like it should be in the 3rd.

I was chicken and ordered the lifting ring , they did warn me to make sure the fly wheel doesn’t spin backwards.

Can’t wait to here your results!

So just a heads up for tiller guys reading this post.

I was going to put the Zip Wakes on my Tiller but the controller has to face the stern, so that will be kind of a pain.

    Thanks!

Ya, I was going to go the bolt direct route as well, but these are so darn expensive I want to take the tracks with me for the next boat. Next owner can have the brackets but the tracks and accessories will get mounted on the gunnel of our next boat )

Ya, really hoping the water conditions co-operate! I’ve never fished the river, so don’t want to limit us were we can go.

If you fish it , watch for us and give us a wave! We’ll be in a black/gray Alumacraft Competitor 205 Tiller with 2 black labs with us )

    Come on April!!!

to_setter, you could do that for sure! I don’t think it would be to hard.

What do you guys with tracks do to protect your boat cover, when travelling?
