IDK, I might try this. My boat’s the same way. Or I might sell the rug and get sea deck installed. The carpet’s a pain in the ass anytime it get rained on I have to take it out and hang it over something to dry.

Bad move on Skeeter’s part! I have a 2014 mx 1825 that I bought new from sbc in 2016. It truly is ‘the ultimate 18 fishing boat’ as it was marketed as. The plan was to get a new one down the road with a 200 on it. Guess now it’s going to be a Tuffy ( my second runner up when I was looking at boats). And I’ll put a damn Mercury on it!
October 11, 2019 at 7:21 pm #1884211Yep you are absolutely right, the MX1825 is no longer in Skeeters production. Its sad to see as it was a great seller for us here at TBC.
WHAT!??!?! Why? Thought it was the ‘ultimate 18 foot fishing boat’???
April 8, 2019 at 10:23 am #1849074My biggest bass have been caught on <strong class=”ido-tag-strong”>muskie lures.
Same! Just goes to show ya, most bass guys use too small of lures. I don’t use any 3/8 oz spinner baits or 4 inch finesse worms any more. 3/4 oz or bigger for spinnerbaits and 10 inch monster worms for me!
February 27, 2019 at 11:26 am #1838962It looks like spring there as compared to here !!!! :]
Indeed! The ice is thick and temps are COLD!
November 21, 2018 at 10:29 pm #1811874Steve, about the sonars – I have a helix 12 and 10 at the console on my 1825. And a helix 10 at the bow. I wish I would have gotten a 12 for the bow instead. That 12 inch screen is real nice!
October 11, 2018 at 8:06 pm #1803145I’ll gently observe that the difference in interior cockpit depth is not the same as the difference from rear deck to water line…
Ummm, ok but you’re not gonna tell me that I can reach the waterline just as easily out of a 2060 as I can out of a 1825, are you?
October 11, 2018 at 11:26 am #1803014The shallower cockpit makes working on muskies over the side of the boat easier.
The cockpit isn’t actually that much shallower. An inch? Two? The difference is greater in the bow. I’ve unhooked one or two <strong class=”ido-tag-strong”>muskies in the back of a lot of different boats, and my WX is as easy for that as any.
3 inches. That’s the mx 1825 vs WX 1910. Moving up to the 2060 the difference is 4 1/2 inches. It makes a difference when hanging over the side of the boat, especially if your back isn’t as good as it used to be.
Can’t remember a time when I was bothered by wind pushing me around, and I seek it out whenever possible. React keel plus a 36v Ulterra keeps me completely in control.
That’s great. But you can’t deny, the less freeboard, the less surface area for the wind to catch.
October 4, 2018 at 11:37 pm #1801536As a muskie fisherman, I’ve never even given the MX2040 a very serious look. Imho, the only clear advantage it offered was a front deck that’s closer to the water. And since all my rods are between 8’6″ and 9’6″ those inches of height don’t impact fishing very much anyway. That hull and lower freeboard also means less storage, less dry ride, and less ability in rough conditions for almost the same price.
The shallower cockpit makes working on muskies over the side of the boat easier. The overall lower profile of the boat means less freeboard to catch wind. 2 of my favorite features of my 1825. I probably won’t ever go bigger but if I did, it would have been the 2040. Maybe they *will* come out with a MX 1910. That would definitely get my attention!

I thought these mx 1825s were 50 MPH boats with the F-150???Downstream and 1 guy, empty tank, and light load.
Won’t get too far with an empty tank. LOL
August 24, 2018 at 9:54 am #1793517Glad you’re happy with it. I have a kicker and talon on mine. Top speed so far has been 6.1 MPH – LOL. Haven’t been on a lake where I can use the F-150 yet. I’ll report back when I can get that big motor going.
August 22, 2018 at 11:55 pm #1793237Love my 2014 MX 1825! It’s the perfect compromise between a deep V and a bass boat! The 21 inch deep cockpit makes working on muskies over the side of the boat a breeze. Love the stability the boat has. Great storage. Great ride!
April 11, 2018 at 11:34 pm #1767047If they’re still making the mx 1825 covers that leave the splash well exposed, I don’t recommend them for outdoor storage. It leaves all the linkages and cables for your outboard(s) exposed to the weather. That back deck will get somewhat wet too. Also, leaves and other debris will blow under there making the cockpit quite messy.
For indoor storage it should be fine. It tightens down good for trailering.
950’s probably about right. I got quoted 1,180.00 for a custom cover- albeit, it’ll cover the splash well and kicker motor and have 3 support poles.
July 20, 2017 at 8:27 pm #1705780Not too bad just drilled 4 holes and screwed it down.
How about as far as getting your hands under there?
July 6, 2017 at 10:45 am #1702658Came with the boat from Skeeter Boat center. That’s what I use when I tow the boat, whether its down the block or 500 miles.

July 6, 2017 at 10:34 am #1702654Cool. Thanks! How hard was that to install? Not a heck of a lotta room under there!
May 21, 2017 at 12:42 pm #1695211I moved the charger to the port side shelf behind the removable rear storage bin.
You got a pic of this?
November 20, 2016 at 8:08 pm #1651645I like that 1910. If I was more of a troller and/or big water guy I would have gotten one instead.
