Eric, knowing you and Jimmer(a.k.a brokeback) you were hoping to use them for your bag last night I’ll will give you some credit for pulling a limit on a tough night!!!
It’s no contest when it comes to raw pulling power, a diesel is the only way to go!! They can be more expense to fix but it’s money well spent. I’ve got one and will never go back to a gas motor.
I’ve got it also!!!! Just sent my deposit out to colorado for my elk hunt starting in August!!! Picked up my new switchback 3 days ago. We’re getting closer—Greg

Andy, thats always the way it goes!! I figured I’d better wait to show-up on a night your gone so that I had a chance at some points Hope the race goes well for ya and well see ya on the next outing. Greg
Mike, I’ll second Dan and thanks for setting this up and posting the results. It was a great night to be out even though it was a tough bite. Greg P.S. It was good to meet everyone also.
this is a good thing!! I watched guy’s keepin walleye’s that were to big on Sat. and when we got to the landing we gave the dnr the boat info. Not sure what happened after that. It’s an great fishery that needs to be watched.
Andy, it was the best fishing I’ve had in a long time!! We caught roughly 30-40 walleye’s in a 3 hr period and we only kept 3!! Everything was to big, (20″ or better) The wind was really strong on sat. so we fished the river(Tamarck) right at the place it dumps into the main lake. There was 4’rollers on the main lake and cold. Rattle jigs with fatheads were the hot bait for us. Great fun and well worth the drive. I’ll see ya Thursday evening on the Zumbro, I’ve got some catching up to do in the points area so look out!! Hof plans on 15 pts. but thats going to be my total!! Greg
This is just my 2 cents and from past experience, but mud jacking will look ok for a short time but it’s not a long term way to fix your problem. Tear it out and start over. Get proper drainage and you should be good to go.
It looks like you guy’s had a great time!! I just got started this a.m. later then I thought and missed the start time at chester so I headed to pepin instead. Pepin was a bust as far as walleyes but we had some fun with the sheephead on light gear. Great day to be on the water. Thanks for the report on chester Dan. Next time—-Greg
Mike, are you taking your boat out there reason I’m asking is I plan on fishing this outing and I’m wondering if my boat would work out there? or do people just take canoes or something smaller? I’ve got the 17′ bass tracker–Thanks, Greg
Ghostzapper, I lived down there for 4 yrs. and your going to have a blast fishing!! If it was my trip I would head right to Ouachita, its one of the clearest lakes you will ever see. Watch for snakes in the over-hanging branches, they like to drop into the boats.Fishin is great—Good luck, Greg
