Did it grenade and was just undrivable? Or were you able to drive it into a shop. I don’t have a problem limping it to a shop, I just don’t wanna be stuck on the side of the road.

I think I’m in the same boat with torque converter problems, 2016 5.3 Silverado with 120k. Just noticed problems beginning of this week. Slight surge in RPM, clunky shifts and not engaging in gear right away. Going to try to limp it back to my home shop. Hoping to not end up on the back of a tow truck. Is this that common of a problem on this generation of Chev?

Keep your eyes peeled for a Grumman sportboat. They are tricky to find but a great cross between a canoe and small boat. They are built incredibly solid and very stable. They are rated for a 6hp outboard but I’ve seen people go higher hp. 15ft 4in long, 3 benches.

As of 5pm this evening, the river was open to frontier, still some shore ice there and larger chunks floating around. Birchdale was wide open, 40+ trailers there.

Drove from Baudette to Franz Jevne today, two small boats launched at the state park. Nobody at Birchdale, 1 trailer at frontier and 2 trailers at Vidas. They had to work to get out there 90% of the river was ice and it didn’t look thin.
