Same boat I have. Where are you considering mounting?

Tip guides are pretty tiny on my panfish series … bobber stop gets hung up. Otherwise it’s a great crappie rod

One important (IMO) consideration is since you are going diesel is to be sure your vehicle is equipped with an engine brake. If your travels ever take you to mountains or even rolling hills you will be very happy you got it. Not all “towing/camper” packages include that.

Towed 38’ 5th Wheel with both 3/4 ton gasser and 1 ton oil burner .. diesel a “must” with larger trailer

Completely agree with above sentiment.. settle on the camper 1st then the tow vehicle

Wonder if the “binder” in kitty litter is “harmful”?

Went out for football when I went to “town” school (Fist 6 grades at a country school … all 6 grades in one room with one teacher) when I had to eat supper in town, Dad would give me a buck … good for a hamburger, fries, a malt, a bottle of “pop”, and had 15 cents left over … good for a candy bar and I could put a dime in my pocket👍

And yes, it was rough but we did locate some fish
Wish I’d have had a chance on the water to say hi

On LOTW, Started “dead sticking” with rattle reel & bobber, then rod with slip bobber (sometimes hard to see bobber unless right over hole) then built a couple tip downs (worked well, fun … with bobber flying while hand over handing line, some massive tangles)
Current set up which is the cat’s meow is TUCR deadstick with Okuma baitfeeder hanging in a rod rocker, Only “complaint” is the reel is kinda big/bulky for such a swell rod.

My only “complaint” is that the reel is pretty bulky for the rod

Have been using Suffix braid w/ flouro leader and small VMC swivel on mine for a couple seasons w/ no complaints
Tried some of that “no stretch” mono, but took it off …it was a mess (but might have wound it on wrong)

Haven’t used rattle reels for a while, but always used this Gudebrod® G-T Dacron Line

I have 20, buddy has 28. Major difference I’ve noticed is much brighter/sharper “screen” on 28

To each his own, BK…How about you pop the top on a can of Spam and a Hamms and use the left-overs for a batch of stinkbait

X2 on Ottertail Beach Resort on Hwy 78. Scott runs a clean ship. If you golf, it’s right across the road from BalMoral golf course

But, you may get busted trying to bring left-overs back into the states At least that was our experience coming back into North Dakota a couple years back

Turn everything off (zoom) or down (gain) before you power up. When it powers up should find bottom right away, the choose your zoom and adjust gain/IR as needed
Be sure there is no ice on bottom of transducer
