What kind of dog Randy? Looks like a golden?

Seems like a sizable dog for a yote to try and pick on.

Black Friday usually has some killer deals on those NOCOs. The GB40 is adequate for most sedans and standard SUVs. You might want to take it up a notch on a big SUV or full size truck.

Or pike. The daily bag limit is 10 for crying out loud and they need to be thinned big time. Not to mention how easy they are to catch. The DNR is dang near begging people to keep more snot rockets with such a liberal daily bag limit. Take advantage of it. They are pretty good eating out of cold water if you remove the y bones.

That’s exactly what I’m saying Finny. In some places it makes almost sense to blindly and regularly stock a lake with a particular species. Its expensisve and wasteful.

You think your favorite bass dont do the same thing.

    So do your sacred walleyes.

Most gamefish are cannibalistic and won’t hesitate to eat each other.

My point is that stocking something when there is a burgening, aggressive over population of one species (as demonstrated by pike having a daily bag limit of 10 in most of the state), continuing to stock it is fairly pointless.

Dumping fry in so many small lakes doesn’t do much other than feed the fish in the lake.

Many of the lakes they stock fry or fingerlings in are loaded with hungry, aggressive northern pike that pick off anything and everything. Its just feeding the bottomless pit. And of course no one wants to keep snot rockets either even though they are abundant and easy to catch. Everyone wants walleyes or panfish.

Would have much preferred reducing the panfish limit by half.

I agree, I think there is bigger issue with panfish given there’s no closed season.

The day they quit SS will be a blessing

Haha. Won’t ever happen. Would take an act of God to even touch it.

    Why is he bankrupt?

Seems a little odd for someone with an outdoor show and sponsors.

Models are showing a pretty massive warm up next week. Temps as high as 40 are possible as early as Tuesday.

Historically, the last week of January is the coldest week of the year.

There is no significant snow in the 10 day forecast either. The MSP airport is a whopping 16.7 inches behind on snowfall now.

Locations such as Dallas, Little Rock, Nashville, and Atlanta have all recorded more snow this winter than the Twin Cities.

The weather looks good for Hockey Day this weekend at Valleyfair in Shakopee. Low to mid 20’s with days of bitter cold prior are about the best outdoor hockey conditions one could ask for. In recent years this event has suffered due to the lack of cold weather for outdoor ice.

The outdoor ice for the US Hockey Pond Hockey Championships which start on Thursday at Lake Nokomis also looks great. Last year the event had to be scrapped due to very warm temperatures and poor ice conditions.

KOC has agreed to a new multi year contract extension. The terms have not yet been disclosed.

Its been a long time since I topped it off. I never get to use it but its nice knowing it’s there.

I am amazed at how long those things can hold a charge. I charge mine up about once a year and it always has almost its full life when I do it.

    I’ve never used mine either.

I think eventually the future of batteries is solid state. They are still very expensive but like anything the techonogy will improve, more companies will enter the market, and the price will drop.

I was just about to comment on the charger. Make sure yours is compatible before buying new batteries.

Many schools still do remote/e-learning even when in person class is cancelled. All the districts around me do anyways.

Supposed to be 20 something degrees by Wednesday. That will feel tropical. cool

Eagles opened as 5 point favorites over Commanders. Chiefs open as 1 point favorites over Bills.

Kansas City is making their 7th consecutive appearance in the AFC Championship. shock

Thought they played a really good first period, defensively. Holding the Avalanche at home to 4 shots is a win thus far.

Didn’t he sit the bench in his rookie season except for one game? I’m pretty sure he didn’t start a playoff game as a rookie

Seems to be some conflicting information on that.

Mahomes made the AFC Championship his rookie season too. They lost to the Patriots. His second season, they won the Super Bowl (beat the Niners).

When the weather is cold and especially when it’s snowing, I often wonder why the receivers and running backs don’t wear sleeves that have an anti-slip surface, so the ball doesn’t slip out of their grasp as easily.

They want to feel the ball right against their skin. It’s a ball security thing.

Same reason most quarterbacks refuse to use gloves. They can feel the ball better right on their hands, even if gloves aid with grip in wet conditions.

One dropped pass by a reliable tight end on a 2 point conversion was the difference.

    Another Bills-Chiefs game coming up…

How about we stop bashing people that love to keep and eat fish. For goodness sakes.

My response was mostly to address the degrading comment above referring to bass as a grass carp.

I have no issue with someone keeping fish like perch to eat.

The weather in Philly for the Rams/Eagles game today could get interesting. Winter Storm Warning just west of the area.

Perch will never be a fish that I get excited about.

Good. Keep going after your grass carp and leave probably the best eating fish to the rest of us.

Not really comparable. One is targeted for harvest by the meat hunters and the other is primarily a sport/tournament fish.

I’m going perch fishing but releasing all of them, said no one, ever.
