In WI the spawn seems to be wrapping up. Due to odd water levels it was a hard year in mid and south parts of the state. Just keep in mind post spawn can be just as good. They feed for weeks you just have to find them. Happy hunting.
Alot of it i believe is personal preference and location. I think if your proud of it and have worked years to catch it. Then have a mount or replica of it there no real sizes in my mind.
They tend to also sit in the current breaks. Look for spots very close to a hole that has current going around it let your bait float right next to the break. I find this time of year a big plastic tipped with a minnow works great. Just don’t work it to fast. Cold water slow fish.
