I would highly recommend a youth model 20 gauge. My family has a youth model Remington 870 that my younger brother first used 15 years ago. This gun has been passed around and used by relatives to introduce young shooters to a shotgun. The smaller stock is a better fit for kids to shoot and is well worth the investment.
I can tell you what didn’t work for me. I attempted to make some jerky out of sliced roast using Mrs. Dash Marinade and salt. I let it marinade over night and then dried it. The jerky had no flavor to it. I may try again, but I’ll let it marinade longer.
